Was here several days at the time of Mobile World Congress. The whole city was fully booked and everywhere the prices were 5 times higher than normal due to this. So this hotel was some 200+ euros per night. But the whole city was out to rip off everyone coming so cannot comment on regular price. But if you get it around 50 euros with breakfast included, it might do for a few nights of quick sleep. Still, I would recommend to look elsewhere.

There is a safe in the room. And a minibar. Safe seemed to work OK. WIFI was free and worked fine during the stay. My room was into the backside, where there is a terrace. Recommend higher floor due to the terrace being right outside the window, allowing anyone to walk to the window. However, the lifts were rather erratic so recommend maybe floors 2-3 so you can still take the stairs reasonably. Don't expect much of a view from the higher floors as the place is surrounded by similarly tall buildings.

Beds were hard but I still slept OK. Blanket was light and had to play with air condition to try to get warming since the winter was a bit cold. Heavy wind, outside at the lower floor at least, was making lots of noise on the inner courtyard. Bathroom was rather inconvenient as the door open to block access to the seat, and the door pulls on the towel you need to put on the floor to catch the water coming from shower. Shower worked OK although had to wait for warm water a while. Shape and condition of room and bathroom generally not too exciting.

Breakfast is poor. There is some bread you can toast, put on some jam and call it something better than nothing. The warm parts of the eggs, bacon, etc. were poorest I have seen on my travels. Lukewarm and only the mini-sausages tasted ok. Coffee was quite bitter, although I prefer to take strong Espresso. The breakfast starts quite late so if you need an early start you have to skip it. There is a small shop across the street for water bottles and some snacks but quite limited. On the way to metro stop there is a bigger one a few blocks away.

Staff was helpful enough the times I needed them, such as getting a taxi. There might be an extra charge to have them order one since the one I took to the airport was quite a bit more expensive than the one I took from airport to hotel. Difference was about 40 euros vs 50 euros.

There is a metro/subway stop two blocks away next to the famous church (Sagrada Familia). You can take this to get to most places in the city quite conveniently. To get back to the hotel after a late dinner, or pub crawling, the price from Placa Catalunya was each time 10 euros. So not too expensive. Other parts of the city were generally not too expensive to take taxi to the hotel (only tried near downtown though). Recommend asking the front desk for hotel card with address to give to driver.

Room Tip: Recommend mid-floors (2-3) so you can use stairs but get a bit distance to street/terrace level.

Hotel Sagrada Familia?

As its name implies, it is within a 5 minute walk to the famous Unfinished Church. You can get to the metro lines L2 and L5. Hotel is clean, staff is gul face, location is number 10, breakfast is satisfactory.
You can use the computers in the library of the hotel, which can be connected to the internet free of charge from the hotel in every way.
Breakfast in Barcelona is not included in the hotel rates. However, at the Hotel Sagrada Familia we paid 55 euros for each night including double breakfast.
Once again we go to Barcelona again. I would recommend it to all of you with heartfelt relaxation.

Room Tip: Price performance 5 stars

On the plus side, the location was within walking distance of the wonderful Sagrado Familia church, which had a charming christmas market going on. The room was of a manageable size, the bed was comfortable, and there was a safe, a small refrigerator with soft drinks, and a water-heating ring to make tea & coffee. My husband, though, had to ask each day after the first for two of those small tubes of instant coffee and was told that "we usually don't supply those after the first night." Odd. There were no rugs on the uncarpeted floors, no ice machine, and while the staff did their jobs, they were basically indifferent. The bathroom and shower were tiny, the toilet paper awkwardly placed, and the fan in the bathroom (that activated with the light was on) buzzed rather loudly. The hotel had a half-priced deal on their breakfast buffet which came to about 8-9 euros per person. It had a little bit of everything so the variety was good and you could find something like cereal or yogurt to eat, but the cooked food (eggs, bacon, sausage) was basically inedible. In all, We would not stay there again.
