What a fantastic experience! Georgina and Allessandro met us on our arrival and immediately made us feel welcome and at home. They were amazingly helpful in orienting us to the city and were genuinely concerned that we optimized our time and money. We loved the hotel and its location, but really looked forward to coming back to the hotel at night so that we could spend a few minutes in the lobby having coffee and conversation with other guests and the night staff. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding and the chef made one of the best omelets I have every had! The comfortable atmosphere at this hotel is unlike any other. If you are looking for first class service by an extremely sincere and friendly staff in a very fashionable yet comfortable facility, you cannot go wrong with the Casa Camper.

Room Tip: If available, highly recommend staying in a suite (salon and bedroom are connected).

this place has it all. PLUS hammocks! during our honeymoon, we stayed in a suite for five nights, which was just delightful.
the location is central and in a cool neighborhood.
the staff is super friendly and helpful.
the snack bar and breakfast is really really a wonderful idea for cutting costs on the rest of your trip and for that midnight snack.
the beds are very comfortable and HUGE.
everything is spotless and well designed.
there's a fitness room, if you want it.
STAY HERE! you will not be disappointed!!

also: the little bar/restaurant directly across the street is fun and filled with students drinking and eating tapas. go here for an authentic barcelona experience.

Room Tip: all the rooms are the same, unless you get a suite. the suite is worth it!

Places with a character all their own are increasingly hard to find. Casa Camper is unlike any other hotel we'Ve stayed at. A sleeping room on one side of the hall and a private lounge on the other is only the beginning. The hammock-equipped lounge looks out on a busy but narrow alley and has its own tv for couples that can't watch the same channel. The sleeping room was small but comfortable and has a long row of shaker pegs for hanging things. It looks out on a colossal wall of potted plants. How they get watered is a mystery. The seating in th sleeping room is a sort of bicycle seat on wheels, and remarkably comfortable and practical. Also very practical is the open shelving in lieu of drawers. No mini bar, but instead a very nice selection of complimentary snacks and drinks available 24 hours. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. Staff is very helpful and very pleasant. Not everyone will appreciate this little gem, but for those who do, it's a delight.

We spent three nights at this hotel and enjoyed everyone of them. The staff were all very friendly and seem to rarely enjoy working there. We arrived earlier on Sunday morning having travelled on the sleeper from Paris, another great experience, that we recommend. Walking through the streets of Barcelona early in the morning with the sun shining and the city only just waking up was the best way to start our holiday. The hotel is located down a quiet side from Las Ramblas. The room, breakfast and 24 hour snacks all exceeded our expectations. The joy of coming back to the hotel in the afternoon and having a snack and drink on the roof terrace and watching the world go by was the best way to end a day of sightseeing.

Room Tip: Higher floors are probably better. I would suggest that getting into the hammock is easier then getting out.

We chose Casa Camper because it was rated #1 one on trip advisor. It exceeded every expectation we may have had. We recently stayed at Casa Camper for 8 days (February 25th-March 4th) in order to visit our son who was studying in Barcelona. From the moment we arrived everything was fantastic. Arriving bleary eyed from a 14 hour flight, we were greated at 8AM by the friendliest staff you can imagine. We were invited to sit down in the immaculate lobby/dining room to a delicious homemade breakfast (which you get every morning - enough to last the day) before we headed off to explore the city with suggestions from the front desk. When we returned we were greeted by name by yet another wonderful "team" member who seemed to know about what we had seen! We loved the modern simplicity of the hotel. We were taken to our suite on the 3rd floor which was fantastic! The bathroom faces a wall of large plants and provides complete privacy. The bed was SO comfortable, the room, also immaculate. Clean, simple, quiet, not overdone and has everything you may need. One night we sat on the roof and had champagne we had purchased after have gone on a wine tour recommended by the staff. One day i had a paper cut and called the front desk to see about a bandaid and within seconds, Georgina was at my door with bandaids - you would have thought i had severed a finger. We have had the good fortune of having stayed at many high end hotels in the past, but they could all take a lesson about service from the Casa Camper Team. They seem genuinely kind and wonderful. They also seem to genuinely love their jobs as they are always smiling - even the kitchen crew. Each person made us feel as if our comfort and happiness was their priority. They are knowledgeable about every facet of Barcelona, from restaurants to sights to transportation. The level of service is unparalleled, whether it is the person at the front desk, the support staff or the kitchen crew, they really work as a team that respects each other. If we asked someone on the morning shift a question on the way out of the hotel, and they were gone when we returned to hotel in the afternoon, the afternoon person knew about our question and had an answer. There is food available 24/7. Not one person had any attitude. Even the women who cleaned our room were gracious and smiling. This is definitely a major find - the price is beyond reasonable - especially when you consider how you are treated like a king and queen. I I could go on and on but let it suffice to say that our trip to Barcelona would not have been nearly as wonderful as it was without the Casa Camper Team!
