This hotel was excellent value for money. Location wise, it's ideal as it's opposite the main train station and is near a metro station so all the tourist sites are close to hand.

Our room was lovely-I've paid double the cost to stay in hotel rooms that were nowhere near as nice and we had some pretty fantastic views.

The staff were very helpful and professonal and I cannot fault them in anyway.

The breakfast charges were a bit of a joke so we went across the road to the cafe on the corner every morning and had coffee and pastries to set us up for the day.

The bar on the top floor has some excellent views and it was lovely to sit in there to have a drink before going out for something to eat.

The reception staff gave us some good recommendations for restaurants in the area.

It was as expected - spacious and modern room, medium sized and clean bathroom with decent fittings, large TV, and air-con. Great view from the 11th floor, with the usual amount of associated street noise. We did not hear noise from other guest rooms. The WiFi was a little frustrating - when your free time runs out, whatever option you choose (I think "pay per use" for charges per 10mins or "prepaid" for the 24 hour deal) cannot be reset. Hence, choose carefully the first time, unlike us.

The hotel was a business centre with computers and a printer. We did not have breakfast or eat in the restaurant, so we cannot comment on these. However, we did have room service for a light dinner. The menu was pretty limited, but the food was quite nice.

The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English.

The location is excellent, across the square from Barcelona Sants (main train station). The trains from France arrive here, as to does the airport train. The Metro also departs from here, with easy access to all of the city. The square appeared relatively safe at night, which was a surprise.

Very nice business style hotel - would recommend it.

Stayed in a triple room for 1 night after a cruise. Got checked in early which was good. Distance is quite a distance from Las Ramblas 10 euros by taxi but is just across from the main Sants station which takes you direct to the airport. Taxi was 18.50 from the port.
The hotel and room just looked tired and well worn to me and getting grubby, I think it would have been luxurious in its day. Room was a good size which is unusual in the city.
On check in we were told that internet in the business centre was free but it was not, I think we paid 3.35 euros for half an hour and 6 euros to use the spa.
Breakfast was included in our rate and it was of good quality and good selection although the service from staff was very poor, which is also what we found in most of the restaurants we dined at in Barcelona. I dont know why this is.
All in all the hotel was ok but I think there are better hotels closer to the city. Comparing it to the hotel we stayed at prior to the cruise Gran Torre Catalunya was not as good as the other 4 star hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed stay here across from the the railway station & metro, overlooking Barcelona. Fabulous room, clean & large with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides. Quite convenient with the metro across the road, would definitely stay again and the breakfast was one of the best on offer at hotels.

Right next to the train station with easy metro access this hotel was an ideal base for exploring the city of Barcelona. We stayed on the 21st floor which offered us stunning views of plaça espanya, the room was spotless and the staff helpful. My only complaint was that we stayed 5 nights and for 2 of those nights were awoken at gone 1am by loud party music. The first time I think was from the nearby park so hardly the hotels fault, the second on our last night was from the 'madonna' party at the hotel. Not ideal being awoken at 1:30am when you've got an early flight the next morning. Overall a great place to stay, they just need to decide if they want to be an ideal hotel for travellers or a late night party hotel for ravers!
