My Husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the St Moritz. On check in the hotel receptionist was welcoming and exeptionally helpful in advising us of the local attractions. The hotel was exceptionally clean in the communial areas aswell as our room. The room itself was very well presented and had obviously only recently been renovated. The postion of the hotel is also ideal for site seeing. Only 3/4 min walk to Placa de Catalunya and 2 min walk to the shopping street Pg de Gracia with all the big named designer stores. The Barcelona Turistic Bus is a must with its hop on hop off facilities all around the City. All in all a great break made all the better for having chosen a great hotel. Thanks HCC St Moritz.

We stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The room was quiet and clean. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The brkfst was too pricey at 20 euros so we ate elsewhere. If you go here, you can catch the city tour buses right around the corner and ride around all day, getting on and off where you wish, checking out the sites of Barcelona. It was a great value and a great way to see everything we wanted to see. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 3rd floor facing Calle Deputacion and slept with no problems or noise. They warned us that the 1st floor would be loud from street noise so we went higher.

Great location and clean. We stayed there for 2 nights. I would gladly give it 4 stars if the hotel would not continuously harass us to pay in full before a checkout day.
At the check-in we paid with a credit card for one night and asked hotel to let us pay the second, out last night, later when we could use as a part of our payment leftover euros from our trip and pay with a credit card the rest of the payment. We did not want to take euros home to US. They agreed.
Fist, our room key stopped working next day. A front desk reprogrammed the key and asked for the rest of the payment. I promised to pay that evening, as soon as I know how much euros I have left to use before we leave. 30 minutes later a phone call from a front desk woke up my husband - a clerk requested an immediate payment. I had to dress and go to the front desk to pay right away to stop the phone calls. We where not even leaving that day. It was annoying and disrespectful. It took away from the hotel and our stay there.

Stayed at this hotel for a 3 night leisure break.

The location is very good being just off Passeig de Gracia and less than a 5 min walk to the metro and Renffe train station. We purchased a T10 travel ticket at the airport and were in the hotel less than half an hour later. The T10 ticket gives 10 journeys on train, metro and bus and only costs €9.25 so is great value.
From the hotel it is easy to walk to Placa de Catalunya and La Rambla.

The Hotel is very bright, modern and clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful especially the reception staff who all spoke English.

Our room was on the 4th floor, room 410. Very spacious with nice furnishing and a large bathroom with bath shower toilet large steam resistant mirror and magnifying make up mirror and hair dryer.
Nice quality bath and face towels.
There was no view from our room as the window just overlooked the central atrium of the building however the room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. The only slight problem was that the room was a little on the warm side and the airconditioning could not be controlled from the room other than to switch it on and off. We would have preferred it a little cooler but it didn't stop us sleeping.

Breakfast was a very good buffet with lots of choice and everything was fresh and nice quality. A good selection of cold meats cheese cereals fruit and pastries. Additionally a selection of hot items was available to order such as bacon sausages omlettes scrambled fried or boiled eggs etc although we never sampled these as we were content with the cold buffet selection.

Happy to recommend this hotel

We had a 4 night break at this hotel on bed and breakfast terms.
After arriving at Terminal 2, Barcelona airport, we had about a 10 minute walk to the train station (RENFE), where, at the ticket office we purchased a T10 ticket, which give us 10 trips on local transport in the central area of Barcelona (Zone1), for just under 10 euros. The ticket can also be used for trips to and from the airport. After a 25 minute journey, we left the train at the station of Passeig de Gracia. The hotel was only about a five/ten minute walk away, situated on the south side of a street called Diputacio.
Check-in was quick and without problems, the receptionist being both friendly and helpful. There did not seem to be a porter available and we carried our luggage to our room on the fifth floor. We had a corner room which, after looking at a floor plan, appeared to be slightly larger than other rooms. It overlooked the main street, but the windows provided good sound insulation and we were not affected by the noise of the traffic outside. To our surprise, there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Neither did we appear to have a comprehensive hotel directory, but a room service menu was supplied. A safe was found in the wardrobes, but it could only be used after purchasing a key from reception for just over 8 euros. The wardrobes also contained sufficient hangers for clothes. There was a fridge in the room, what looked like a free wi-fi connection, mini-bar and a flat screen TV. A four position switch on the wall controlled the fan speed of the air-conditioning, but there was no thermostatic control to set the temperature, which I assume was set centrally. The room was never too hot, but outside temperatures never went higher than 24 degrees C while we were there. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a WC, bidet and bath with shower and toiletries were provided and renewed on a daily basis. Larger people may find the bath and shower slightly smaller than they are accustomed to.
A self-service breakfast was located in the main restaurant where a large and varied selection of cold foods and drinks were available. Hot dishes of bacon, eggs, sausage and omelettes were available, but only on request. As our breakfast was included in the room rate, I never asked how much it would cost separately. We did not eat in the restaurant at night, but a menu dispayed outside the restaurant offered a Table D'Hote meal for 32 euros.
The hotel is ideally situated for the shops, cafes and restaurants, being only about a five minute walk to the Placa Catalunya and the start of the main street of La Rambla. The cathedral and old town, the port and harbour, and the beaches, were about a 20 minute, 30 minute and 45 minute walk away respectively.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would certainly consider visiting again.
