It's a pity that the prices are so expensive... Because they usually offer good cinema. I like the Torrijos Street much more, it's a little bit more modern

Clean, friendly staff and if you only speak English and are needing an escape, these films are in VOSE Version Original w/ Subtitles in Español. €9 euros for adults, kids for less some for free. Matinees during the week at matinee prices. There are two Cine Verdi. One on each side of the same block. The one opposite the Gran de Gracia is Cine Verdi Park. The other is Cine Verdi. You may buy tickets online or at either theater for both theaters.

We were looking for something to do in the evening, walked past Cines Verdi and thought we'd pop in to see if anything was on. There was a bit of mainstream(ish) fare in English with Catalan/Spanish subtitles but, perfect for what we were looking for, there was a Catalan film with English subtitles showing too. The staff were really friendly at explaining what was on (and what we'd be able to understand!) to us and tickets and snacks were very reasonably priced. Definite recommendation from me!

Tucked away up in Gracia on Carrer Verdi is this precious little cinema. The screens are all comfortable, clean and don't stink of stale popcorn or hotdogs nor are they full of irritating people with surgically attached mobiles.
They show mainstream as well as slightly cultish films, mercifully shunning the average bllockbuster dross. Most films are shown in the original language with Spanish subtitles.
My favourite aspect of this cinema is the info sheets in each film that you can pick up in the foyer. It can be best to get your tickets in advance for big movies as the screens are quite small.
A note to new visitors to this cinema: there are two parts to this cinema one entrance is on Verdi itself, the other is on the street behind, so make sure you go to the right entrance for your screen or you'll find yourself running round the corner at the last minute so's not to miss the start of your film.
