I would highly recommend to anybody is visiting Barcelona and is up to discover its treasures. Here are some highlights: it is easy accessible from subway/train lines, walking distance to Sagrada Familia, Manzana de la Discordia, Passeig de Gràcia vibrant avenue. Staff is very welcoming, very clean and comfortable rooms. Tons of patios in vicinity where can try local food and drinks. One big regret: did not plan for at least 5 days stay... maybe some other time and definitely in Europark Hotel.

My friend and I rented 2 rooms at the Europark for 3 nights in June. There are so many positives to mention about this hotel, particularly for the price, that I would have loved to have given the Europark a 5-star review. The location is extremely convenient to the main Gaudi sites including La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and La Padrera and safe. Our rooms were clean, breakfast was pretty good, and there was a supermarket just a 2 blocks away that was convenient to buy supplies to make sandwiches, snacks, and a bottle of cava.
I made reservations a month in advance, and based on other TripAdvisor recommendations I elected to pay extra for 2 identical rooms that came with balconies. My friend's room had a nice balcony with glass railings and a table with chairs where we could enjoy an evening drink. My room, however, had a "balcony" that was approx 15 inches wide (see photo), no table or chairs and thus not usable as a balcony. I complained to three separate staff at the front desk including a manager and each staff insisted that it was simply impossible that my room (room 309) didn't have an identical and usable balcony. From what I could see, all "balcony" rooms on the third floor in fact are not usable. My guess is that the staff have faced this complaint before from guests who have paid an upcharge for a balcony, and staff have been instructed to simply deny it. Very disappointing behavior. I would have recommended Europark otherwise for a return visit, but this mgmt dishonesty has me thinking that I will try another hotel in the same neighborhood on my next visit.

Room Tip: Do not accept paying extra for a balcony room on the third floor. These rooms do not have usable ba...

Stayed at this hotel 5 nights after spending several days in Madrid. Here's the scoop: this hotel is in a nice neighborhood near Sagrada Familia and other notable Gaudi stops. It's also conveniently located to Passeig de Gracia and high-end shopping. It is NOT, I repeat, NOT central to the Gothic area/ Old Barcelona. You can take the Metro from Passeig de Gracia, or the bus and be in central Barcelona pretty quickly, but I think we should be clear where this hotel is situated. Now, the hotel itself is nice. It's a 3-star, but it's really clean, the breakfast is decent, and as I said, near great shopping and good restaurants. I do recommend the hotel, as I thinks it's a good value. Just note that you won't be central to the other sites of the city. By the way, we were in a twin room on an upper floor on the street. No problem with noise. Windows are thick. The room is spacious, good A/C, decent wi-fi, overall comfortable. Some things we did that you might want to try: The tram near the beach is super cool, I recommend it to get an aerial view of the city. My daughter found the ICE BARcelona just off the beach. The whole interior is made of ice. You have to wear parkas to go inside (they give them to you). It's fun, check it out. Of course all the Gaudi is amazing. See everything. Our last day we rented an ATV (yes, legal in BCN) - had a blast cruising the city. Got great parking. The rentals are near the tram across from the beach. I personally thought La Rambla was overrated. However, the Picasso Museum is a gem, especially his pieces on Las Meninas, which are brilliant. Shopping in the area adjacent to the Picasso Museum is fabulous.

Room Tip: I recommend an upper floor.
