“Really Good Hotel”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

The location of the hotel is great. Close to the main shopping street of Passeig De Gracia as well only a short walk to Las Ramblas. You can easily catch a train on the R2 line from Barcelona El Prat Airport and get off at Passeig De Gracia.

At check-in I had waited for a while due to a family checking in ahead of me. The front desk staff was apologetic for keeping me waiting and was very friendly. She asked if I needed a map but had one. She also mentioned the free mini bar a couple of times. This is a great feature which they give you a beer, soft drinks, and water which they replenish daily.

My standard room had a double bed. It was very comfortable as had a very comfy mattress topper. The room is of a good size. The bathroom is of a good size as well with a shower over bath. It had good pressure for the shower. I could see La Sagrada Familia from my room.

It was a convenient walk to the main areas for sightseeing and restaurants. I recommend getting the Barcelona card which you can buy at the airport as it includes most transport within the city as well as discounts to the major sights including La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi Museum, and Picasso Museum.

The only negatives were that the one lift that was in operation was very slow (there are two lifts) and there were renovations going on but was advised at booking and didn't hear that much noise.

Would be happy to stay here again.

Perfect for people who like to walk. Within a 25-30 minute walk you are at most sites. Also, it is two blocks for the Rambla Catalunya,a smaller Rambla parallel to the Passeo de Gracia. If you hated the main tourist Rambla, this is for you. It is quiet, few tourist, mostly locals, and beautiful at night.

Great value as of now. Grab it before the prices go up after the renovation (unobtrusive) is over in May.

Great location one block away from great shopping, bars and restaurants. It is under major construction. There was no lobby, besides a counter to check-in, only the hotel bar and breakfast restaurant. We stayed in a renovated suite (small but with a nice sitting room that could be closed off from bedroom) was was nicely decorated with subtle cream, blue and beige. Hotel staff very helpful and attentive. The roof top terrace and gym were not open due to renovation. Very easy to walk everywhere and taxis were easy to find right outside the hotel.

Great location just one block away from Passeig de Gracia, avoiding all the noise but easy access to restaurants, shops and transport. The hotel was under renovation so it was a bit messy, noisy and smelly at places but they were very careful to minimize disruptions. It is very modern, comfortable and clean. The only problem I had was the room temperature as the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly but I was moved immediately to another room.
