Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

“Must see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2012

As all of Guell's works, it is a must see. It has the odd shaped architecture as his other works.

“Wow !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2012

What a building, The Stone Quarry has it all from the lift up to the 17th floor to start the tour, then the amazing shapes of the chimneys and ventilation ducts, the views across the city, then the rooms which have everything beautifully restored even down to Gaudi door knobs !!, a great place to spend an afternoon.

“Worth the climb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

Thought we might just be viewing a stairwell, but eventually got up to the exhibit. Love Gaudi's works and ideas, and all the roofs offer interesting views of the city.

“Great terrace!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

I loved La Pedrera, but not so much as Casa Batlló. It is really beautiful outside and on the terrace, but inside the flats are "normal", decorated with old furniture. Just a few objects designed by Gaudi. The terrace is really nice - I loved it.
If you have to choose between Casa Batlló and La Pedrera I recommend Casa Batlló. But if you have time and money to spend, go ahead!
