A very worthwhile tour. I had visited the building some 18 years ago, but didn't do the tour due to admission fees. The site it still under construction and will be for another 8 years, don't let this put you off, it truly is a sight to behold.
Upon entering you are met with the vast main area, which really has to be seen to be believed. The level of attention to detail is unlike anything I've ever seen.
After doing a walkthrough of the main church we visited the museum underneath the buliding. This was worth the admission fee alone as it provided a lot of information about Gaudi and the processes he went through both artistically and structurally in creating his pieces. They truly are a marvel of form and function, really showing wait a brilliant mind he had.
After doing the museum I had to go through the church again, to investigate my knew found knowledge. This gave the church a complete new lease of life and details I hadn't noticed the first time around were now plain as day and made the church even more of a marvel. Truly amazing, not to be missed. I would dare say I will visit again once it is complete.
