The place has a youthful hip vibe, and while my husband and I are not too youthful, not too hip, this hotel suited our needs perfectly. Comfortable beds. Enough space to lounge around the room. Bluetooth speakers in the ceiling for your own playlists. Relatively quiet rooms (not soundproofed from short bursts of loud conversations in the hall nor muted sounds of revelers in the streets. Also, every noise from the toilet will be heard; you will have to be comfortable with that or take to using the WCs on the top or ground floors.
But really... we loved it here. There we’re travelers of all ages - actually mostly our age (mid-to-late forties) or up. The staff was far younger than 90% of the guests and the activities offered by the hotel seemed to cater to their own tastes - pink/red cocktail nights, funk/reggae musicians in the lounge (that doubled as breakfast service area). The lounge (adjoining the pool) also had very good views of the rooftops of Born.
Overall, it was exactly what we needed - some place walkable, picturesque and on the fringes of the heart of where things were. Right on the Metro at Arc de Triunf station. We walked everywhere from
Barceloneta to La Pedrera to Ramblas.
