Tucked away behind the cathedral of Barcelona, is the Neri hotel, a Relais and Chateux organization. We stopped by for lunch at their restaurant called “a Restaurant” and were delighted with our small plates that we all shared. We loved the potato gnocchi with cauliflower, the cheese beignets, olives, Russian salad made with smoked trout and chicken kebabs. As the kitchen finished a dish, it was brought out to the table, so the meal was nicely paced. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of white wine from the region. Not inexpensive, around 28 Euros per person including wine, water and coffee, but well worth it for the quality and inventiveness of the food.
