Perfectly acceptable apartment hotel. Kitchenette in the room, a laundry room with free washers and dryers, a passable gym, reasonably modern and with largish-for-Europe rooms.
This is probably not a location we would have chosen ourselves. It’s on the edge of an industrial/ business district that’s being gentrified with apartments and university accomodation, but the area itself is fairly quiet ( except for the drunken yelling at 2-4am when people leave the nightclub in the next street), but not many restaurants or bars nearby, yes a couple of isolated small ones, but not extremely near to a restaurant strip. That said, it’s close to 2 metro stations for the L1 and L3, so easy to get to all of the tourist landmarks. There are also various bus stops in the surrounding streets and close to the L4 tram, which is a short hop to Westfield Glories. I understand there’s also a hop-on-hop off bus stop close by. It’s about a 40 minute walk to the gothic district or el Born and about a 25 minute walk to the beach…so whilst the suburb was lacking I character and atmosphere,it was easy to get places.
Hotel had 24 hour reception and you could buy a couple of snacks at reception. The breakfast at the restaurant wasn’t flash, however perfectly suitable. The hotel lifts were small and slow, but they appeared to be building a third one while we were there.
