We stayed here en route between 2 paradors, Santo Estevo & Cervera de Pisuerga, because we wanted to avoid cities. It was worth the detour just for the drive itself. Inland Galicia is dramatic & unspoilt. This family run hotel is in a traditional stone building, immaculately clean with friendly hosts. The food at both dinner & breakfast was delicious, using locally sourced ingredients, including mushrooms, figs & sweet chestnuts. There is the possibility for good walks in the area.

Great friendly place. Very accommodating. Had a very fine meal and wine. Good walk around the town. One of the memorable times in Spain . Loved the bar area. People in the town we super. Roads are narrow but people will tell you where the hotel is located. Super small quaint village

Lovely little rustic hotel, tucked away in a charming small village. My boyfriend and I stayed the night after doing a hike in the area. The hosts were lovely - warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself was clean and cozy - filled with some regional artifacts, a lovely dinning area with big fireplace, yummy food, and a little bar which had lots of good books on the area. I would certainly recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

5 of us from London stayed here for 1 night last week, and thought the place was perfect for what we were looking for. Amazing scenery when we drove up, this is set in a village as rural as you're going to get. Although, not too far from the main road, so it is easy enough to find. I didn't come with much expectation about the rooms, but they were clean, well serviced and each had a really nice mountain view out the window (although one of them was perhaps a little on the small side, with low ceilings). Great location for exploring the local countryside. Hospitality was friendly and nice. However, best bit was the food. There are no local shops or restaurants, and one of the hotel hosts cooked for us. Admittedly only 1 thing on the menu, but one of the best 3 course meals and wine all holiday. Plus a shot or two of the local liquor. They had a relaxing terrace outside where we could carry on drinking for a bit, and then a local bar down the road where we could continue after, without disturbing the rest of the hotel guests. Overall a great 1-night rural experience.
