We were booked here as part of Fresco tours and this was a interesting and historical place, which is inside a monastery surrounded by roman walls. There is a museum tour, well worth taking along with the cathedral de santa maria de leon The restaurant served excellent meals. At the time of our stay a local fiesta was occurring and we were wishing we had more room in our suitcases for the home made and unusual items.

This former monastery welcomes Camino pilgrims, Leon’s Bishop and noble travelers alike. It’s art collection is worthy of a tour, which guests can join at 11 A.M. Clean, spacious rooms open out onto a courtyard, which leads to wonderful marketplaces. Around the corner is the beautiful Cathedral of Leon, a museum housing perhaps the Holy Grail and other treasures. Breakfast is abundant and filled with local ingredients. A perfect place to station while touring Leon.

My second stay at Hotel Real Colegiata de San Isidoro was as good as the first one. I experienced the same level of service and comfort as during the first time. My only misgiving this time around was that the Internet reception was very spotty. Also one of the recommendations for a restaurant by the front desk was less than satisfactory.

Great location, beautiful building, fantastic modern bedroom in an old building. We have stayed in similar hotels on this holiday and the bedrooms have always let them down but this room was light and airy and the workmanship was brilliant. Dinner, great value for money.

I was unfortunately here for only one night, as it was an absolutely stunning establishment!
The rooms are somewhat stark, however that is where the charm lies - you feel you may be in an old monk's cell - however this one has a very comfy bed and a well appointed bathroom.
The reception staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
I had breakfast in the morning here - it was very well catered with loads of different yummy food items.
Before having breakfast, I had a look around, and was quite disappointed I wouldn't still be there for the free 11am tour, as the buildings and grounds were absolutely breathtaking!
