I booked this hotel months ago as I knew there was no way I could walk the rest of the way into Burgos from Villafranca as it was a long distance on the Camino. This is a nice hotel. Room #117 has a double bed with firm mattress, great air conditioning, strong wifi signal, TV, desk and chair, safe, clean bathroom with modern fixtures including a shower with floor to over six feet in height water jets for a relaxing spa experience after the day's long walk. The two ladies at the front desk were very professional and courteous. I requested a non-smoking room and although I found an ashtray on the desk the room had no cigarette smell in it. The air conditioning is loud and drowned out street noise. The only negative is the town itself. Not the people as they smile and say hello when they see a stranger out walking, but there just isn't anything to do or see here. There are two bars plus the one in the hotel. There isn't a grocery store or even a shop of any kind. I didn't eat in the hotel so I can not comment on their restaurant

It is next to tm main road N-120. But there is not really noise after 11:00 pm. So it is OK for sleeping. Good Bus connection to the city with Line 4 and 16.. The rooms are modern and very clean. The stuff is very friendly and english speaking. This is not usual for this region. The restaurant is excellent.

This hotel's curbside location next to the very busy N-120 with lots of heavy trucks makes a visit a challenge. I asked for a room at the back, away from the road, and still had very unpleasant traffic noise all night. The room was small and clean except for a partly clogged shower drain. The restaurant is good. Considering its noisy location and what is available only six kilometers away in Burgos, the hotel is hugely overpriced, which is why I can give only a "poor" rating.

The hotel was situated next to a busy main road, not made clear when booking. It is a very clean, modern and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was good value for money. Unfortunately the road noise, even with a room change, made sleeping somewhat difficult. There was air con but it was far from effective, only cooling the area immediately in front of it and not facing the bed. Parking is available on nearby roads and it seems to be a secure area. The restaurant seemed to offer a good variety of local food. The hotel gives very easy access to Burgos. The hotel could be described as ggod rather than average of very good.

Room Tip: There is always noise from the nearby main road but ask for one away from the road which helps a little. Check air con is effective in summer.

We used this hotel as a second stopover on our way to the south of Spain.

The hotel is on a main road in a small hamlet. We had one of the smoking rooms, which are located on the front, and so pretty noisy even with the double glazing when the trucks rolled by!

We'll definitely opt for a non smoking room next time as these are located on the quiet side!

That said, teh room was adequate, the bed was comfortable, but the pillows not to our liking (we are fussy), and only one pillow per person!

The bathroom was typical of many Spanish hotels, bigger, or at least more spacious, than the bedroom! Excellent cleanliness and a shower that was brilliant!

The room does have internet, but only a fixed line, so if you have a laptop, just ask the receptionist and she'll give you a cable.

We decided to eat in the restaurant, and were glad we did. A wonderful ambience, with incredibly friendly and helpful waitress.

We decided to go with a salad to start, which we shared, followed by a qtr of lamb that is cooked a particular way on wood and from the local sheep stock. Again, this is a shared dish for 2 people. And that is all you get, the lamb, but what a dish it is!

Luckily we did have the salad to start, because you get no veggies at all with the lamb, and to be fair, you don't need it! It is probably the best lamb we have ever eaten, and afterward the waitress even showed us the clay oven they cook it in! They bring it to the table whole to show you and then go away and cut it to more manageable chunks.

We enjoyed a bottle of very good rioja at a very reasonable €13.80!

All in all, for 2 people, the bill was a very reasonable €64!

Highly recommended, if just for the restaurant alone!

Room Tip: As above, even if you are smokers, go for a non smoking room to avoid the traffic noise.
