Went there with Family on my Bday. Its a well known restaurant in Ciudad Real and had good variety of food , wine and desert. It is good value for money.
An ideal place to have a long afternoon lunch with leisurely attitude.

I am quite a (picky), frequent restaurant visitor, but San Humberto did not let me down. In fact, out of the three days I stayed in CR for business, two I had dinner at San Humberto. With an excellent representation of the Spanish and Castilia Manchego cuisine, where several choices of fish and meat will satisfy the most picky client, the wine list is also interesting, specially in view of local wineries. The only reason for not giving San Humebrto a five star rating is due to the invasion of bugs one of the night at the outdoor dining area..

Apart from anchovies in tempura, wild cod baked in salt, croquetas, jamón ibérico de bellota, and carrillada (braised beef cheeks), we indulged in a bottle of La Mancha white wine as well as a bottle of Tempranillo by Bodega Agora of the municipal of Valdepeñas, which is located about 63 kilometers southeast of Ciudad Real.

The cod fish was superb, indeed better than the salt-baked fish that we tasted in Venice. The carrillada was similarly succulent and delectable.

The owner of San Huberto and his daughter were friendly and warm.

An average meal for a high price. There are better places in Ciudad Real other than this place. The quality of the food does not justify the price we paid. The ambiance was quite average as well.
