Stopped here pre dinner one evening - great atmosphere, mostly older clientele having coffee and cakes. It was busy but the waiter was attentive and very pleasant. Coffee was delicious, served with a small square of cake. Price typical of seafront, I would recommend.

The places looked nice from the outside and has seating both in and out
As we could not get a table outside we were show one inside in boothed are
The other boots where occupied by young mothers and their toddlers which were screening and causing other visitors ear ache plus getting in the way of service staff.
We ordered our drink which when they arrived were incorrect.
Second delivery was correct.
Not our type of place .

Located in a prominent area, with unbeatable views of the bay from its terrace, with an attractive décor and a good selection of sweets and savoury snacks, it might seem that Gomez Fusion has everything to be the first choice of both tourists and locals alike however: it is just a mirage.
Even before sitting down you realise that chaos is around you. There is a good chance you will sit at a table that is still dirty from the previous customer and only after waiting a while someone will come over to clean it. If you're lucky they'll take the order at that time, if not, you'll have to wait again for that or another waiter to come and take the order. The most experienced waiters are used to the iPad and will have no problem but if you get someone newer, which is possible as it seems to have a great staff turnover, taking the order quick and without mistakes becomes an adventure. Too often you will be served in stages, depending on the day you will receive the pastry and 20 minutes after the coffee that is already gotten cold. The pastries and sweets are delicious and refined, the cakes served by the portion are rather inedible and do not seem made by the same baker that makes the rest of the sweets. The sandwiches, and omelettes are very good. The ice cream is fine, although they can not be compared with those of Regma or Monerris. A special mention regarding the coffee: excellent and a great variety however it will depend a lot on who prepares it, there is a barista with a bad attitude which does damage to the reputation of this establishment.
It's a shame because Gomez could be ideal however it is clear that it has a serious problem of organisation and minimal knowledge of hospitality. The employees do not seem happy and that influences the experience negatively.
My recommendation is: take away, in particular the sobaos and quesadas that are from Macho and are exceptional, although they can be bought in any supermarket as well.

So incredible we had to order a couple of extra cakes and share. Couldn't pick a favourite. Gorgeous coffee and tea, too - in decent-sized cups/mugs. Wonderful afternoon in very pleasant atmosphere and delightfully friendly staff, too.

My girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to grab brunch before we got the bus to the airport, and we stumbled on Gomez Fusion. We're so glad we did. Firstly we had an amazing latte, followed by a ham and cheese croissant, which again was delicious.

We cannot fault the food or drink, and if we were in Santander for more than one day, we would definitely be back.
