Early March was probably a little early in the season, quite a cool breeze off the sea, you needed your jumper, esp. in the evening. Having said that the sun shone most of the days and we spent many hours on the fabulous beach, swam every day (cold? hey, we're from North Wales, we know cold) the promenade is everything people say, and the 'swimming beach' at the far end, laid out like a lagoon, is safe and with a life-guard. The other end seems good for surfing, big atlantic rollers lovely to watch. The apartment wants for nothing, is very well equipped, easy to maintain, 3rd. floor but with excellent lift. Mercedes is lovely and helpful but her English is limited, I needed my rudimentary Spanish.. A good supermarket is very close and it is less than a minute to the beach. The No. 17 bus nearby brings you to the bus station where you can take trips to anywhere on the island. There's a good choice of restaurants along the promenade, we liked the Japanese in Parque San Telmo (the bus station square- but remember your stop coming back on the bus which comes up a different street) Visit the old town, atmosphere and architecture feels like a town in Latin America.
