Coffee is ok. Orange juice is good. Selection of baked goods is fine. It's not cheap and the service ain't great - at least not today!

Bakery with nice pastries and bread, with a coffee shop too. Have the standard items and a decent list of sandwiches. Nothing too fancy, but latte was good, freshly squeezed orange juice was really good and sandwiches were fine. Relatively inexpensive. Server was very friendly.
We went to Spain on a cruise and visited this cafe. The cossiants tasted fantastic and were freshly cooked. We also ordered 2 latte which tasted fabulous, they were much better than the UK. I would recommend to visit.
This review is for the shop in Almeda de Urquijo.
We were walking around Bilbao one Sunday morning and had no luck finding a coffee shop that was open until we stumbled across this Bertiz - and what a find. Good coffee and an absolutely amazing array of pastries, many of which appeared to have been baked on the premises, and at very reasonable prices. We had 2 cappuccinos, 2 large orange juices, a croissant and a custard tart for Euro10.05.
We did not discover until later in the day that this was a chain and that there were other Beritz shops around town.
There are a number of these cafes the city and they're all good, they're not a Star**** type, they're places to sit down and enjoy a good coffee, pastry, cake, sandwich etc at a good price and be on your way. When in Bilbao I go to Bertiz most of the time.
