Just checked out from my 2cnd stay at H sierpes.
It represents excellent value.
Don't expect a marble palace. It is what it is.
However it's clean, airconditioned, ensuite, the wifi works and the staff are helpful and speak excellent English.
(I have stayed in Establishments that cost far more per night and feature non of this!)
There is no lift so it is not disabled friendly and my first stay had a room on top floor.. This time lower floor..just luck of the draw.
Situated in very narrow streets in old Seville, walking back to the hotel and actually finding it can be a little confusing for the first few times but once you have your bearings it is actually extremely well situated for the attractions of the city.
I wouldn't bring my partner here for a romantic break but if I find myself travelling solo to Seville again I would have no hesitation in booking again.

Staye 4 nights here. The owner/manager is very friendly, polite and very helpful. The hotel is well run and clean with very pleasant housekeeping staff. It is also fantastically located in the centre with everything within walking distance.

However, the first two nights, I stayed in what can only be described as a tiny box of a room - no room to even put my bag. It was dark and needed the light on during the day (its window faced an inner courtyard on the first floor). Quite dperessing.

In the morning after my second night, housekeeping had left the doors open of empty rooms after guests had checked out and these rooms looked great. (These rooms had windows facing the street and were infinitely more spacious/better designed/better bed). I went down and asked the manager if I could change rooms and he was very obliging and said I could do so immediatly as until that morning, the hotel had had been full. My second two nights here were great as the room change made such a big difference.

Tip: When booking, ask for a room with a window facing the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a wondow facing the street

Great find easily accessible by public transport located in the heart of the historic centre. Staff was very friendly and spoke great English. Rooms were very spacious and bathrooms were good. Staff said wifi was only accessible in the lobby but we were able to access it from our room on the first floor. Lobby areas were picture perfect Seville. By far the best value for money we were able to find so centrally in Seville.

Booked to stay over the weekend of 3 Kings and whilst I wasn't expecting too much (€75 for 3 nights) it was pretty much as expected.

Both members of staff were more than helpful and spoke much better english than my Spanish (in fact the gentleman working the mornings kept apologising for saying good morning in Spanish which he shouldn't have done, i was in his country!)

Set in a traditional Spanish apartment block there was an authentic Sevillian feel about the place and everywhere was clean. However - note that there is no lift so if you have heavy baggage or mobility issues make sure you request a ground floor room!

I stayed in a single room with private bathroom, which whilst compact was adequate for my needs with a bed, shower and somewhere to hang my clothes. The room was clean and basic, just what I wanted. However, the room wasn't cleaned during my stay, not too much of an issue as it is a small family run business and not a chain hotel. The towels are threadbare but do the job, although a bit on the small side.

I didn't partake in breakfast so can't comment on the food.

Easy to find and close (5 minutes top) walk to the Cathedral and the monuments area of the city.

If all you want is somewhere to dump luggage and sleep this is perfect

I have recently returned from a great 3 night break in Seville staying at the Hostal Sierpes.

I booked this property as it was a good value deal (less than £100 for 2 people for 3 nights), a great central location in the old town and it looked very traditional and charming.

Looking at past reviews some reviewers have commented on the standard of this property but I don't think some of them realise what a Hostal actually is. It is quite a unique concept to Spanish speaking countries but they are mainly family run small hotels/guest houses with basic facilities. I did know what this meant and as such had realistic expectations of what this property would be like and as such was more than happy with what I found.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and always greeted us everytime we saw them. The room and bathroom were basic but very comfortable and was cleaned everyday. My only gripe was that the towels provided were getting a bit tired and could do with being replaced.

The hotel building and surrounds were perfect. The hotel has the lovely courtyard area were you can sit and relax and there's a nice little bar located just next to the hotel entrance. In the surrounding area there are plenty of nice places to eat and drink and the Seville Cathedral and Alcazar palace are 5 mins walk away.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the Hostal Sierpes. I paid next to nothing to stay in beautiful Seville in a friendly, traditional, clean and centrally located hotel. What more can you ask for.
