If you have been Europe and stayed in a good hotel, not a great hotel, you will recognize the Hotel Becquer. I don't mean it as necessarily a bad thing, it is a good solid hotel that reminds me of some places I have stayed in Europe.

The front desk crew was very helpful and the room was a good size. No problems with the bathroom and the location of the hotel was great.

The bedding, towels and linen could have been better quality, but that is not too much of a knock.

We stayed during Semana Santa and the rates were pretty good, and we got value for our money.

I would recommend Hotel Becquer, but I'm not sure I would stay there again.

The moment we walked through the doors we fel at home. All the staff are helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the centre. Our room was spacious and clean (as was everything else at the hotel). Overall, it was a most enjoyable experience at a hotel which well merits its 4 stars. We will return.

We were three of us (wife, husband and young adult son) but there was plenty of space in our standard room with the extra bed. Bathroom was spacious and I asked for a quiet room when making the reservation and got it. No view, but no noise either. The breakfast was an incredible spread, NOT your typical Spanish breakfast, with fruit, cereal, pastries, eggs, meat, cheese, cakes, juices, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi worked good. My son likes a softer bed, but my husband likes it firm and was pleased. I am sure there are more atmospheric places but this is just what we needed and we would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room when you reserve. I've already forgotten what floor we were on, but it was...

Just returned from a five day visit to Seville for Easter, if you hate crowds then stay away at Easter as from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday Seville is heaving with processions and huge crowds everywhere at all hours - although it is an experience if you can get near to some of the processions.
The Hotel Becquer is very central and a good choice for visiting the sites although go early as the queues can be very long, lots of eating houses nearby but they do get busy. The hotel front desk staff could have been more friendly, little advice offered just given a map on check in and a few more smiles to greet guests would have been very welcome.

Buffet breakfast very good but go down early as the dining room can get quite crowded although staff here were very friendly and the choice very good. The hotel was quite expensive for the standard room around 200 plus euro's a night although the room was well equiped, very clean and very comfortable beds well insulated against noise. Roof top pool small nice area with sun loungers and great view of the cathedral espically at night.
Quite a few beggers which is very sad for such a great city but give it a try as there is lots to see and do for a weekend break.

Average hotel on the outer part of tourist district of Sevilla. Convenient during the height of Santa Semana, as minimal disruption from processions, and still road accessable. Short walk to Cathedral and Alcazar.
Room decor was dated, double bed consisted of two singles with single sheets tucked separately and beds pushed together. Interior facing room was quieter, avoiding road traffic noise, but still poorly soundproofed from adjacent rooms, floor above, and any movement in the outside corridors.
Staff were pleasant and helpful enough.
Even though stayed at absolute peak season during Santa Semana, thought it was overpriced, and lacked charm and individuality of being in Sevilla.

Room Tip: Interior room facing courtyard are quieter. Room facing main road Reyes Catholicos will overlook th...
