I really wanted to like Real Alcazar. The buildings and grounds are beautiful in pictures, but that is about the only thing I can give it credit for because I wasn't able to actually see them on my trip there. I bought tickets online in advance so I would not have to wait in line and priced up for the premium access and tour of the upstairs. When we got there, it was lightly sprinkling, so they closed the gardens and portions of the buildings off with no notice to advance ticket holders. When we questioned why, we were treated extremely rudely by the staff. The place was overcrowded and you could access very few areas since they had closed the majority of the grounds off due to the "storm." The tour of the upstairs is worth the extra few euros, but unfortunately, did not make up for the disappointment of the rest of our time there.
