Owner description: The Barrio Santa Cruz used to be the Jewish quarter. The streets are narrow and form a labyrinth. It’s easy to get lost among the jasmine-scented streets… only to discover a convent or a palace or a hotel. Many of the palaces have wrought iron gates suitable for peeping into their beautiful patios. There are many small stores and some artisan shops, as well as good art galleries.

We got lost finding our way to the Cathedral and stumbled onto the bar
Barrio Santa Cruz proper. Along the narrow alley ways we came across many artsy shops and souvenir stores. And a Flamingo studio plus secluded hotels! The atmosphere alternated between quiet hidden gems and touristy gathering spots. It’s an interesting maze filled with surprises if one’s not too worried about getting totally lost.

We wandered around the area near the Cathedral for several hours. All it really has to recommend it is it's age. It's full of tourist shops, terrace bars and the wall of the Alcazar.

Stayed here for 4 days- everywhere in easy walking distance. Stroll around any of the streets and narrow ways- look up look down look around. Seek out the remnants of the Jewish quarter, if only in the names of some of the ways

Amazing pieces of history surrounded us. First time to Europe and Spain. Blown away by the craftmanship and the atmosphere in the middle of Sevilla

Hints: book a tour or guide, good camera, suitable footwear and clothing, take your time

Perfect to feel all the Jewish history of Seville and to get in touch with the locals. It is a delightful walk because in every corner we see new things, new stores, new undisclosed places
