We booked this from previous reviews on Trip Advisor and as a recommended stay by Rick Steeves. We found this place to be tired, needing a face lift. Our room was on the 3rd floor(second to the Spanish), and we found the heat almost unbearable. After fooling with the AC we managed to make it liveable. The people who run the pension were all very nice, and helpful, but often the 2 girls that spoke English were not around, which made communications extremely difficult. If you speak Spanish you will probably have no issues. My wife found the bathroom to be in need of a severe cleaning, with mold in the silicone sealent around the door, which turned her off this place entirely. If you are sensitive to smells, the hotel uses a very strong smelling detergent which was overpowering. Also, its cash only. No breakfast is served. So I think there are probably better options available to you in Seville.

My husband and I were traveling with our twin girls, age 10, and found Pension Cordoba exceeded our expectations. It's spotless, simply and beautifully appointed, and perfectly located on a pedestrian passageway near the Alcazar and the Cathedral. If you love the marble and tile and interior courtyards festooned with plants that Spain is known for, you will really like Pension Cordoba. The furnishings were simple, but solid wood; I liked the varnished wood shutters on the windows; it's all very attractive.

I have no idea where you'd park if you were driving in, but we arrived on the train from Madrid and just used a taxi (not expensive) to come to the pension. You don't need a car in Seville, anyway; our feet and public transit got us everywhere we needed to go, including a super interesting visit to the Roman ruins at Italica, a 30-min. trip by bus.

There is a computer you can use in the small lounge (which also has a fridge and hotpot that guests use); wifi seemed only to work in this room, but we didn't mind taking our laptop down there. The family who runs the place is pleasant and capable, and the adult sisters who work with the guests speak perfect English, if you don't speak Spanish.

I'd certainly go back to this lovely, immaculate pension next time!

Room Tip: I poked into some other rooms -- all seemed very nice. Corner rooms might give better separation fro...

Just stayed at this pension for three nights. It is a very sweet place - super-clean, amazingly located, run by a lovely, friendly and helpful family - plus added bonus (for us!) of a cute dog. The rooms are basic, don't be fooled into thinking you will get any more than a bed, tv and a few bits of furniture (not even a mirror! Although there is one in the bathroom) but the shower worked well and if you're just after a base and want something cheap then its fine. We breakfasted on tostada con tomate in the square round the corner at Bar/cafe Carmela, v good value and lovely to sit out in the sunshine and watch the world go by. Would also reccomend Bodeguita Fabiola just round the corner (turn right out the pension then right again and you will see it) for drinks, tapas and impromptu flamenco. And Seville is so beautiful! Can't wait to go back to this gorgeous city.

This little "pension" is wonderfully located in the Barrio Santa Cruz (Old Town), within walking distance of everything worth seeing.(The only time I took a bus was to come back from the Basilica de la Macarena, otherwise I even walked to Triana and back, to Parque Maria Luisa, etc. It is very close to the cathedral and Alcazar).
January is obviously low season. Although cold, the crisp and sunny weather was fab for photos, with orange trees everywhere. I booked a single room with shower, only 4 days before arriving, and was pleasantly surprised to get a room with double bed (for 35 euros per night). Quite spartan, but what do you expect for that price in the old town? Room with TV, heating easy to switch on/off, and spotlessly clean. There is wi fi and a computer for guests in a small sitting room on first floor. The owners (elderly couple and their 2 daughters) were very pleasant. No noise at all at night; I slept like a log (although, as another review says, avoiding room 102 in high season would be a good idea as it's located over the entrance bell... I was in 105)
Breakfast is not served; the Cafe Altamira (a few minutes away, calle Sta Maria la Blanca) was adequate for breakfast. I would recommend the Bodega Santa Cruz (calle Mateos Gago) for authentic and inexpensive tapas.
Despite what some reviews say I dfound it easily, arriving by bus from the airport and then about 20 mins walk from Plaza Don Juan de Austria.

We were very happy with our 5 night stay at Pension Cordoba. Yes the rooms are simple but very clean and with everything we needed. We were staying in January and found our heater on the wall and controlled by us pefectly satisfactory. The girls on the desk and their parents were unfailingly polite and helpful. As they had to push a button to let us in and out they were constantly having to get up and down at all hours of the day and night and always did this with a smile.
We loved the location and the taxi took us to the corner without problem and we walked up from there. Once we got our bearins we were able to find it easily by walking straight up towards Santa Cruz from the Cathedral and it took about 10 mins. The tucked away location meant it was free from traffic noise which was a bonus.
The lounge and free internet was very helpful and the connection was always good. So many places now assume you have your own internet access so only provide Wifi connection so we really appreciated this.
They also recommended a great bar around the corner to go and watch free flamenco with the locals in a very atmosheric location. Just ask them the name.
In conclusion we would recommend Pension Cordoba to anyone wanting a budget, friendly, well located and clean option in Seville.
