After six consecutive meals of tapas we tapped out tonight to try Italian cuisine at this top rated restaurant in touristy Santa Cruz near the Cathedral. Given its popularity we felt very fortunate to get a table right away without reservations or waiting shortly after it opened for dinner. We started with a refreshing Salento Rosato wine. The salad of mixed greens, walnuts and fresh strawberries topped with goat cheese was wonderful. The crusted warm goat cheese was delicious. Only wish there was more balsamic cream dressing to coat the greens. My dining companion loved her fettuccine Bolognese. My simple, basic spaghetti aglio elio with chili pepper was cooked perfectly al dente with just the right amount of sauce and served piping hot just the way I prefer. It would have been perfect with a bit more salt. All three dishes were generously portioned and well presented.
