“Cathedral--take the audio tour”
Reviewed 21 April 2012

At 4 euros to see the Royal Chapel (no photos allowed, and not very impressive at that--Charles V was correct, that this place was much too modest for the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella), and then 4 euros and I think 7 more for the audioguide, it's not cheap. But, as one guide put it, "The Spanish church is poor." Photos are allowed inside the Cathedral, and the "altarpieces" scattered along the side walls along make the visit worthwhile. Despite the added cost, the audioguide added a lot to an appreciation of the building.

“Like many other european cathedrals”
Reviewed 20 April 2012

Worth a visit, and at least you dont have to pay (unlike Seville cathedral!). Its rather 'hemmed in' by the nearby buildings so there is no spectacular view.

“Well worth a visit”

The sheer size and beauty from inside is amazing, you have to see it to appreciate the work that went into creating this huge cathedral.

“Beautiful and amazing”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

It was huge, everywhere you are in the neighborhood you're right next to its walls.
Beautifully constructed from the outside to the inside, what a tomb!!!!! White marble and twin organs to play classical pieces while they lay there resting their bones; way to go Isabel and Fernando!!!!! Didn't know Juana la Loca was also buried here. Lots of history of the past are depicted here like the wooden panels one of which shows the moors were being baptized...

Amazing, people (men, women, teenagers and children) are still going to church and celebrate Easter with such a solemn and passionate procession pageants in the South.
We live in Barcelona, north of Spain, we see only a few old women attending Sunday mass while their husbands are still sleeping or at bars waiting for them to get out to go for a walk together.

“A little disappointed”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

The cathedral was no so busy as othe rcathedrals we have visited int he past. It seemed very dirty and dull, cold and un frienfly. I wouldn't visit again as I felt it was not maintained and kept as it should be. Was very disappointed. When we got to the front of the queue of the royal Chapel we were told they were shutting so never got past the pay desk!
