Came for lunch and got the tabla caliente. A ton of food but everything was either too salty or bland. Maybe we came on an off day, but we were not impressed with the food at all and have had much better and more unique meals elsewhere in Granada.

On arrival we were confronted with a sign indicating we should ask a waiter before sitting down. Should have known something was amiss when our attempts to attract the attention of passing waiters were met by glares and grunts. After about 20 minutes a small but growing group of pathetic would be-diners in a similar predicament had gathered around us. Eventually we were ushered inside by a waiter who looked close to a nervous breakdown. Surprisingly inside the restaurant we noticed that several tables were empty. We were squeezed into a table for two in a small corner of the room and drinks were ordered. A few minutes later the table next to us became occupied. Because of the crowded arrangement of tables in the room (organised more to maximize numbers than for a pleasant dining experience) we now found we were trapped in our seats. The quality of the food was reasonable although overpriced compared to other restaurant we visited Spain. Leaving the restaurant proved impossible without disturbing our unfortunate fellow diners in the adjacent table. Paying for the meal was complicated by the fact that the waiter could not calculate the bill either in his head or by using a calculator he went to fetch from inside the bar area. I cannot recommend this restaurant, a most uncomfortable experience.

Best food and wine in town, authentic Spanish tapas and great cuisine. Always full to capacity and we know why. Wine against shop prices!

Outside, on the pavement, is the place to be, where you can get to know your neighbouring diners. Almost intimately, so closely packed are the tables.
The food is decent tapas and there are salads which are enormous. The tomato and tuna came with great quantities of both of those and just about every other salad ingredient ever thought of (possibly a few never thought of as well).
All this served up quickly and with contempt for the customer which was blatant enough to be amusing. Not a place for sensitive souls then, but perfectly OK for hungry ones.

No visit to Granada is complete without stopping by here. Cheap cañas & tapas, what's not to love? Be prepared to elbow your way to the bar in true Granada style. Tapas were pretty good, though what I found disappointing was that I didn't get any free tapa with my drink. Tapas are good/generous sized portions... be prepared to wait before they take your order. The service is a bit hit and miss (probably a hit if you speak Spanish or are a local). Get here early (by standard of Spanish time, around 8:30ish) for a more likely chance of getting served quicker. The broadbeans with jamon was a little on the salty side and the Russian seafood salad was overly generous and needed more flavour. Croquettes were okay but soggy.
