My family and I stayed in the Hotel Los Jazmines for 6 nights leading up to and including the Easter weekend which I booked through booking.com and relied on the reviews and the fact that we wanted an apartment rather than a hotel room.

In this world of poor service, expense and rudeness we were delighted to find that for what is billed as a 3star hotel, we got excellent facilities, value and service especially from the hotel reception, and the lady serving at the rooftop bar.

We arrived at around 10.45am and even though we weren’t supposed to check in till 2pm, we got a friendly, helpful and efficient check in, which was most welcome.

The hotel reception always answered all our questions very helpfully about a location (Costa del Sol and Torremolinos) that we had never stayed in, booked tickets for our excursion to Seville and even told us we were entitled to a packed lunch as we would miss breakfast and printed off tickets to a football match that my husband and son had booked to see (Malaga play).....and even told me what the score was when I was passing through reception!

We had our apartment cleaned everyday with beds made, towels and toiletries replenished and the apartment was always clean and tidy....until my family came back!

The location is also perfect; opposite a huge stretch of sandy beach and a good tourist information centre and lots of restaurants and shops close by.

It has a swimming pool and a kiddies pool (which was empty with plenty of Sun loungers) and an amazing rooftop bar that opens from 4.30pm, though the drinks are quite expensive, as they are in most of the bars here.

What we really liked was it was only about a 10 minute walk (albeit up hill) to the centre of Torremolinos with more bars, restaurants, shops and train station.

We particularly liked that the train takes you straight to the airport in about 15 mins and the centre of Malaga, they run every 20 mins and only cost a couple of Euros as opposed to the taxi that cost us 18 Euros from the airport.

There are also hotel rooms and very basic rooms too at the hotel, but we liked that our apartment had all basic self catering facilities, as it’s quite expensive to eat out all the time and the quality of the food isn’t brilliant though we went to the Italian restaurant on the same road about 3 times because we liked the food there.

The only slight down side was that we could hear people next door and when people came up the wooden stairs at 3am with their suitcases, but luckily at the beginning of our stay the hotel was only half full so there wasn’t much noise.

The only other slight down side was that the bedrooms are really small, but the beds are comfortable and there is enough storage/cupboard space.

We would definitely come back to stay here, especially out of season as we found this hotel was well managed, clean, comfortable, in a great location, with friendly helpful staff and represented great value for money.

Rooms had a great view with a private balcony, very clean and modern looking inside.Toiletries changed daily, shampoo etc.
Found the hotel staff very helpful when we needed them and we were also allowed to keep room on free of charge until later in afternoon as we had a late flight.
The rooms aren`t huge but for a 3 day trip was exactly what we wanted and at a cheap price.
There plenty of places to eat near here and I would say the marina at benaldamena is about 25-30 minutes walk away but it is a lovely walk there with plenty of bars etc on the way.
Taxi cost from the marina to hotel came to just under 10 euros.

We had a pleasant stay here for 12 days in the summer. Very helpful reception staff, hard working chambermaids and lovely staff on the roof top cocktail bar, which incidentally, has excellent views and very impressive decor.
The maintenance crew take good care of the grounds and there is a lifeguard present at the pool most of the time.
We didn't eat in the restaurant has there are numerous establishments closeby. We enjoyed our visits to the cocktail bar, except on the one occasion when I asked them to turn the music down as our room was directly below. They apologised and obliged.
For us, the best attraction regarding this hotel is its location. Close to the town centre (albeit a strenuous stair climb), very close to the well maintained beach, near dozens of bars, restaurants and shops.
Back in Malaga February, so might pop in and say hola!

My wife and I stayed here for one week on a half board basis. We had a room with a sea view in the main building. All the staff were extremely friendly and the Hotel was cleaned to a very high standard. The location is a big plus for staying here and we look forward to our next visit.
Bed and breakfast is probably the best option as there are so many good restaurants in the resort.

Room tip: Sea view room in main block

We were here last year in Oct 2016 and booked half board, instead of being in the main hotel we were put in one of the rooms next to the gardens.

To be honest the room was very basic and the food was not up to the standard we have experienced from other 3 star hotels in the same area.

The wifi although free can be patchy (weak) and slow as well as it dropping out for hours at a time.

We decided to give the hotel a 2nd chance, but this time we booked a 2 bed apartment, this was much better as we had more space and a balcony that had a good view of the sea and pool.

As the food the previous year was not the best we only booked bed + breakfast and Eating out each night cost the same as half board buy you get to eat when and what you like.

This year they have a new cocktail bar on the roof of the main hotel which is a nice addition and offers super views.

Overall if you want a basic room or a roomy apartment and like eating out this is a good low end 3 star hotel.

If you are looking for a mid to high end 3 star look else where so as not to be disappointed
