Yes it’s a bit ruined but it still has enough standing to appreciate what it Once was. I thought it was wonderful. See photos. Recommend you stroll the perimeter - stunning.

The walls are an impressive site particularly when approached from the south up the Calle arte. You can also pick up other walls as you walk through parts of the old town. It gives an impression of how it would have once protected the old town, overlooking the port. However most of the walls have been incorporated into other buildings and so there is no castle to walk around as in some other places.

Mostly walls of stone. You have to use you imagination. There are far better preserved examples in other towns like Alicante or Almeria.

Unfortunately the castle is ruined so badly there's not much to see these day. Parts of the castle are also integrated to other buildings. Takes you a total of five minutes to see the exterior.

By visiting the old districts of Marbella, full of treasures are waiting for you, many interesting cultural and historic sites such as this castillo arbabe, of the X century, for a journey into the past with imposant wall rests of a castle; You'll discover many natural wonders while venturing around the past.

11th century Arabic castle walls blends in with the new architecture of the town giving the area an interesting character. The castle originally had ten towers and held out against the Catholic monarchs until 1485.

Good to see some of the historic ruins if the castle still in place. Shame there isn't a little more to do with regards to castle of history of he area here. Also a shame that the castle has been converted into residential premises and repaired in a modern style.

The old quarter is a wonderful place just to walk around and enjoy especialy at night, when there are less people walking around the walls, we had fun exploring the alley ways, seeing the walls made the visit even better.
