We just stopped here for a night on a road trip through Spain and it was pretty nice. The staff wasn't that nice and the wifi was lackong, but overall quite a nice hotel.

Thank you for staying with us during your trip through Spain. We do have free WIFI all through hotel Fuerte Marbella. I would be grateful to know what did not work with it in your case. And also, where was service poor in your experience. Thank you in advance for your valuable comments.

Nice hotel, though the service sucked, and the rooms were just average. The breakfast had a superb selection, but still, the people were mean.

Stayed here for 7 days. Rooms average size but good bathroom with an excellent powerful shower. We upgraded to double seaview which I would recommend. Excellent breakfast with everything you could wish for and served until 11am which is good. Staff generally friendly. We didn't dine at the hotel so can't comment on evening meals. Close to the old town and Orange square where there are plenty of good places to eat. Our favourite restaurant was Zozoi. We had an early departure so the hotel prepared a packed lunch for us instead of breakfast. Would definitely return again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a front seaview

My husband and I stopped at this hotel the week before Easter and we have to say that we had a wonderfully, relaxed time. We had previously been to another Fuerte hotel, which didn't quite meet the mark, so we were rather dubious about coming here. Needless to say this hotel was completely different. From the moment we arrived we found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and obliging at all times.

Our room was a front seaview facing room, as advised in another Trip Advisor report and we were not disappointed.... we had pleasant views of the coast and fell asleep at night to the sound of the waves - very tranquil. Even better was lying in bed looking out to sea.

The hotel serves very good food and the restaurant staff are always helpful and efficient. The entertainment we saw in the evening was also excellent, although it appears that most people go for early dinner in order to secure a good seat and table. We liked this hotel as there are so many places where you can find somewhere quiet to sit and read and relax, within the hotel or in the grounds.

The hotel is a very convenient 5 minute stroll to the old town, with its many bars, cafes and shops. At the time we were there the orange blossom was out in orange square and the fragrance was exquisite. Also the hotel is right on the seafront promenade, which is easily accessed by its own rear security gate.

We would certainly consider coming back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a front seaview facing room it is certainly worth paying extra - good views and a large sunny...

We have just spent 4 nights here, with excellent weather (if a little windy!). The hotel is ideally located on the sea front yet a 5 minute walk into Orange Square...and the Beach Club Restaurant is a fabulous place to have lunch in the sun - with excellent friendly service and delicious food. Its a firm favourite of ours and one of the reasons for choosing the hotel!

We had a front seaview room ...always in the sun, the twin beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. There was a fridge, kettle and tea and coffee together with a multi lingual channel tv with BBC1. Breakfast was delicious and cava, a chocolate fountain and mountains of fresh fruit were available together with the usual breakfast selection which was vast

The hotel is ideally situated for the local (and cheap!) bus to Puerto Banus and La Canada. An alternative way to get to Puerto Banus is the "ferry" - this is a catamaran and runs regularly too and from Marbella - a lovely trip in the sun!

From our arrival to departure we were very impressed and we were sorry to leave but we will definitely return...and soon I hope!
