Myself and my partner have been to Cabo Pino a few times now over the last few years and we returned to Casa Madden last April I’m only just reviewing as I’m always behind in my reviews. This visit we chose the lovely Garden Cottage, we usually stay in the Patio Apartment. Both property’s are lovely each with their own style, we enjoyed the extra space the Garden Cottage has to offer including its own Patio and Garden area meaning we didn’t really use the roof top terrace this visit as the garden is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or two and have breakfast with a cuppa. Cottage is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking meals in as well as going out and the bedroom also includes a DVD player. As always spotlessly clean and Jane always on hand if needed but not intrusive and we were also introduced to bouncy friendly Bella her new dog along with the other pets, always happy to see us. Janes husband Derek is also welcoming and also offered us a lift one afternoon which was very nice of him. The place is lovely with pretty garden and backing onto lovely surrounding sand dunes. We always plan to go back as we have the best times and it feels like a true holiday as we always come back so relaxed. We had planned to return in April 2018 as we have been doing the last few April’s but we are booked to go to Florida in July and unfortunately our money won’t stretch that far so we’re going to keep our fingers crossed and see how we go for a few days in October if we can get the money together. Thanks again Jane for another lovely stay.
Having stayed here last year we chose to return and immediately enjoyed the relaxing peacefulness of this cottage. Jane has a lovely lush garden where the bird life is abundant and the cool shade a welcome respite from the hot Spanish sun on the beach. There are umbrellas for your use as well as beach mats and these are a must to take along on the walk to the beach through the dunes.
There is an excellent new restaurant in walking distance - 2gether - well worth visiting a few times. The only drawback in this quiet residential area is that there is no shop within walking distance, fresh bread and milk are always a car ride away.
Thanks Jane for another lovely holiday stay.
Just returned back from another trip to Cabopino and a very relaxing stay at Casa Madden. We usually stay in the Patio Apartment which is gorgeous in itself, but this time we chose to stay in The Garden Cottage. This benefits from a little more space and even a small garden to the rear. The two apartments are completely different and both have their advantages, though I did really enjoy the use of the garden this time and we didn't really use the roof top terrace as much because the garden was so ideal for sitting in with a glass of wine, orange or a nice cup of coffee. We even enjoyed breakfast on the patio on many mornings and a drink late at night after a night out at the port.
We always have a great time and feel so relaxed from the moment we step foot in Casa Madden and always leave refreshed and ready to return to day to day living. This is helps by the fact that Jane, who owns the property is so welcoming, friendly and makes you feel at home without intruding or making you feel like you are being watched. We also met her husband Derek this time who was also very friendly and welcoming along with their new four-legged addition to the family, Bella.
As usual we had many meals and drinks on the marina but the apartment is fully equipped for cooking. We made pizza, breakfasts and other snack with ease. Everything you need is on hand and the property benefits from some Sky TV channels, a DVD player and very good wifi. It is a short walk through the beautiful dunes to the beach and the marina. Of an evening we chose to walk back via a small walkway which runs alongside the motorway but is completely safe and takes about 2minutes.
Casa Madden is down a small quiet street and situated looking over the sand dunes so it is very quiet and relaxing. Even though the motorway is very close, no noise can be heard from it at all. It's lovely to visit the marina and be able to go back to a very quiet and relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle where you are guaranteed peace and quiet along with a good nights sleep.
We had a fabulous time and are already planning our next trip to Casa Madden, hopefully to spend a full week.
My wife and I cannot say enough about Casa Madden, and all that it has to offer. It's peaceful, quite, extremely comfortable, beautiful surroundings, centrally located to the town of Marbella, the beaches (and there are many), Mijas (a small Spanish village about 20 mins from Casa Madden), and, of course, Jane couldn't have made us feel more welcome in her lovely residence. We had a lovely dinner with Jane and her boyfriend, Derrick, on the eve of my 50th birthday. This couldn't have been a better way to celebrate! We are definitely planning on returning the same time next year. We already miss the sun, smells and culture of beautiful Marbella, and beautiful Casa Madden.

Nice garden, good-sized bedroom, small kitchen without oven but good equipped, very nice rooftop terrasse with a beautiful view of the dunes and the ocean and very comfortable sunbeds. Jane is very helpful and we liked talking to her and living so close to her. It's close enough to the beach, which is lovely, but while walking through the dunes you see a lot of garbage and there are no toilets at the beach...
We liked staying at Janes cottage and would come back if we would be in the Marbella area again.
Marbella itself has some nice tapas bars, is pretty touristic, but Málaga, just 40 km away is a beautiful town with lots of things to see and do.
