Just back from a 3 night stay at the Salles Hotel and could not have chosen better - taking everything it offers into account. Good location - just out the door of the hotel, turn to your left and over the bridge and you are into the old town. As previous reviews have said it is not the most picturesque walk - but is is a very short walk only 5 mintues - and we never felt ill at ease.
We got a taxi from the airport - but got the train back - €2.80 for the two of us compared to €25 in a taxi. Arrived about 11 in the morning and were delighted to be able to check in straight away. We had booked a superior room - we were on the 4th floor and had a little balcony - the beds in the superior rooms are 2 twins pushed together instead of a double which is my only complaint. The hotel does not provide tea/coffee making facilities so it might be an idea to bring a little travel kettle. Great shower, shampoo/soap is a dispenser on the wall, little welcome kits containing toothbrush and toothpaste/ shaving cream & razor etc.
We had breakfast included which was very nice - bread/cakes/pastries/fresh fruit/ juices/ cold meats/ cheese. The hot food was scrambled eggs, lovely backon an beans. There is a machine for making coffee/ espressos/ lattes etc.
On the 6th floor there is a lovely bar and roof top pool which was open during out stay. Towels were available.
We found all the staff very pleasant and helpful - we got a late check out until 2pm and hotel kpet our bags until later in the evening.
We arrived on Good Friday so had the opportunity to see some of the Easter Processions on both good Friday and Easter Sunday which were fabulous. We had dinner in Tapeo du Cervantes on the first night( rated one on Trip advisor) and it was gorgeous. We had booked in advance. We also had diner in El Trillo on another evening and again lovely.
Malaga is a lovely city and we would definitely go back
