This is a wonderful place to stay. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely room with a private terrace. The pool area is separate from the main garden and surrounded with a variety of shrubs. Breakfast is 11E extra and served in the garden and is a wonderful way to start the day.

We weren't that impressed with the surrounding area but their restaurant recommendation for dinner was very good. There is a small supermarket close by and we had picnic lunches on our terrace.

Room Tip: Choose one with a terrace

Gorgeou/cute hotel off the main streets. We had a nice and spacious room that was quite comfortable. Staff was friendly. You better arrive by car as we spent quite a while finding this place. Have your gps ready!

We booked this hotel because it looked as if it would suit us for three day break.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location but is not suited to bad weather.

The rooms are quite small and basic and there is no seating within the room. The "living room" which is outside is cold and not at all useable if it's windy or raining.

The"bar" was not attended by anyone and the indoor seating area was cold and Uninviting. There is a fireplace and a roaring log fire would have solved that.

The outside area is very pleasant and the gardens and pool area is well kept. The pool is not heated so therefore the temp of the water would be around 12c at this time of the year. Very cold indeed. The pool is not fenced in so people with small children would have to be wary of them wandering off.

I would imagine this hotel would be glorious in the summer for families and people who enjoy a rural setting. The walk to the beach is not particularly pleasant although it is only five minutes away.

There is one small restaurant nearby which we found was very good but had a limited menu. However if you want to go further afield then you must use your car or go for a rather unpleasant walk across the motorway.

We had booked for three nights but stayed just one. Our room was cold and the air conditioner to heat the room didn't work. There was an electric "log" fire which really wasn't in keeping with the room.

One nights stay in November with nothing but the room was 82 euros. Breakfast if required was another 11 euros per person which we declined.

I would advise anyone travelling to the Costa del sol in winter to think carefully about the facilities which you might want. A small hotel like this just isn't viable when it's cold and wet.

Having said all of the above, the proprietors were very friendly and polite and made no fuss about us leaving.

I would not recommend this hotel in the winter months.

The hotel is a little out of the way in a residential area but only a 5 minute walk to local restaurants. The gardens and pool are lovely. Our king sized bed was very comfortable and the huge bath/shower was very impressive, even though one wall is completely glass and open to the outside (nobody could see in). With lovely staff, this hotel is perfect for a short break.

Room Tip: New York suite is quite something.
