Just got back from a week at the Punta Plata Beach. Apartment had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen. It was in a great location - the beach is on the doorstep!. We enjoyed breakfast each morning on the large balcony, overlooking the gorgeous views. Everything was within walking distance including great cafes and restaurants. There is a beautiful coastal walkway behind the apartment - not to be missed! Thank you to the friendly owners, we will definitely be back.
Front line apartment overlooking the sea. Very well furnished with everything you need. The weather was mixed so we particularly valued the heaters & the umbrella & the English Tv was brilliant for those wet days. The Carrefour supermarket next door was excellent & its cafe was good for breakfast. Only a 10 minute walk into the old town area & some lovely restaurants. Very impressed with Estepona ( our first visit) very tidy & well kept & some lovely plants even this early in the season.
This apartment is in a wonderful location - walking distance to the old town, bars and restaurants. The apartment has a stunning view and terrace. It's really comfortable and well equipped. Having the supermarket behind the development didn't disturb us at all. It was really handy.. The only drawback was picking up the keys. We found getting to the agent really difficult and would advise people to arrange to get the keys another way - don't let this put you off though. We had a wonderful time.
We usually holiday in Puerto Banus but this time decided to have a week in Estepona and a week in PB. This was our first visit to Estepona so lots of exploring to do.
This apartment in Punta Plata is beautiful. It literally is about 10 meters from the sea and the promenade is just being extended to the back of the apartment with a short path leading to it which will be open in the next couple of weeks.
It is well appointed with everything you would expect plus the creature comforts of satellite tv, uk channels and catch up services plus fast reliable broadband.
Behind the apartment is a large supermarket with a nice little cafe but it causes no noise issues and is an easy landmark for taxi drivers.
30 seconds on foot puts you on the main walk across the seafront which is beautiful. Within 15 minutes very slow wandering you are in the town, but to be fair, if you walk with purpose you're there in under 10 with lovely dining options right there. Half an hours walk across the promenade on the edge of the beach (completely flat) puts you at the marina which is the opposite side of the town so getting around is very easy and beautiful.
The owner was very helpful as was Pol the taxi driver (recommended by Eric the owner) who fetched and returned the keys on our behalf as part of the transfers which made life much easier for us. Pol was super reliable and reasonably priced, if you use him contact him via text or WhatsApp for the best results.
Sitting on the well equipped south facing balcony, myself under a parasol and my wife soaking up the full sun, whilst eating lunch watching and listening to the ocean lapping at the shore about 30 feet away was wonderful and totally relaxing. The apartment isn't massive, but plenty for a small family or definitely a couple, with a fantastic location, highly recommended.
We really can’t add much to the previous glowing reviews of this apartment’s well appointed facilities. The apartment is located at the extreme eastern end of the Estepona promenade at Punta Plata beach.
Although there is a large Carrefour located immediately behind the apartment complex, we were totally unaware of any noise from the car park, either when within the apartment or out on the balcony. The supermarket closes at 10:00 pm and the car park gates are locked.
A new raised wooden decking extension to the promenade was under construction, which passes in front of the apartment gardens, but does not impinge on the sea view or privacy of the apartment.
During our stay, we made daily use of the Blue Dolphin bar which charges 4 Euros per day for the hire of a sun bed. However, if you eat at the bar, the beds are free. We found the staff here both friendly and accommodating. Although the beach is sandy throughout, at this end of the beach beyond the waterline the surface shelves more steeply. There are concealed bolder like stones which can be unsettling when trying to enter or leave the water and water shoes are strongly recommended. We later discovered from Pol, the helpful, lively and extrovert driver who ferried us to and from the airport, that the beach is much better to the western end, from about the middle of the esplanade.
