“Typcial Andalusian Style hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2012

After reading reviews from others we requested a room with a window which overlooked the narrow busy street outside - in the main this was not a problem although there is some noise running late into the night - this did not bother us too much. The room was adequate although the shower was rather on the small side you could hardly move once in the cubicle.

Everything was very clean and the breakfasts were fine offering hot as well as the usual cold buffet. Staff were helpful and all in all a great location for visiting Cadiz as everything was only a short walk away.

There is a cafe/bar attached to the the hotel where snacks are available we spent a couple of hours one late afternoon watching the world go by enjoying coffee and a glass of wine.

We opted for the hotel car parking for security and convenience but note this is expensive at 20€ a day but worth it in our opinion.

Room Tip: Do note that it's position does mean you are never far away from the noise from the pedestrian s...

This is a boutique hotel in the center of Cadiz. The location is very convenient – in front of pharmacy, near good restaurants, short walk to Cathedral. The staff was very friendly, they allowed us to check in one day earlier (BUT FYI - cancellation fee is (€70!). The downside was that Wi-fi did not work in rooms (but works downstairs) and that the rooms were very small and had thin walls. Check out a restaurant Meson de las Americas for some delicious, well-presented, reasonably priced food (English menu available).

This is a lovely place, charming, friendly and informative staff who are nicely dressed, great ceramic decor in the reception area and the rooms are named rather than numbered. We had a room on the first floor just over the reception area and have to say the small double fronted balcony area was lovely, not big enough to sit but sufficient to people watch and absorb the atmosphere of a small narrow street in this fantastic city. We did not find any noise disturbance - admittedly it was January - but it is in a good location. The public underground car park nearby is 18 euros for 24 hours which is a bit expensive. Would recommend you drive along the one way system along the shoreline and park up for free - we did this for two nights without a problem. Our room was very comfortable and although slightly small more than adequate. Would stay again.

I would not say that it was a very memorable hotel, but I do not remember anything negative about the hotel either. The location was very good right in the historic centre close to all the sights, the room was clean and comfortable though quite dark and bland, the service was friendly. The also helped us to book a parking spot in the garage just around the corner from the hotel which was very convenient. A good base to explore Cadiz from if this is what you are after.
Tip for drivers: do inquire about the parking in advance as otherwise it maybe impossible to find a parking place anywhere close to the hotel.

Room Tip: We asked for a room on an upper floor and it was very quite. No view though, our room just faced the...

A well-appointed hotel that celebrates the ceramic tiles that are the hallmark of Andalusian architecture.

The hotel sits on a pedestrian street that at first seems narrow ... until you find your way to the near-alleys that criss-cross the historic area. The good news is that there is little traffic noise. However, you may still wish to have a room away toward the rear of the hotel, because Spaniards (and Spanish shops) remain active long into the night.

The hotel is organized around a central interior courtyard. The rooms are named rather than numbered, a quirk that can cause a moment of confusion when locating yours for the first time. The decor was fresh and vibrant. (My room was painted red.)

The breakfast buffet was full of variety (hot and cold dishes). There was free wi-fi in the common areas. (I was able to make it work in my room, too.) And here's a tip: There is free wi-fi on the steps of the Cádiz Cathedral, where you can find scores of young people with laptops, etc., browsing the web in the shadow of the bell tower.

The hotel roof has a very small pool and a small gym containing several fitness machines. I am not a gym rat, but the machines appeared to be in good working order, and the weight room was empty.

Cádiz is a compact city, so all the sites were within easy walking distance. It is easy, however, to get lost in the jumble of narrow streets, so be certain to take one of the maps offered at the hotel's front desk.

I would recommend staying here without hesitation.
