Central location in Old Town.Fairly spacious apartment with small courtyard and roof terrace for views and washing.ideal for us - 3 adults for 4 day stay. Supermarkets and cafes nearby.good choice for site seeing short stay
My husband and I stayed almost three weeks in this apartment. It was in a quiet residential area rather than in the crowded old town which was a plus but it was also a minus since it was a half hour walk to the Alcazar. I liked having two small supermarkets within walking distance as well as the Carrefour Express (by the Roman Temple) but you needed transportation if you wanted to shop at a larger supermarket. Upon our arrival, the owner met us at the apartment and introduced us to Lucia who was the local caretaker since Andres works in Madrid. We had several issues with plumbing (like a disconnected drain in the kitchen sink) and no hot water for two nights when the propane tank ran out of gas, and I think these problems would have been handled more expeditiously had the owner lived in town. On the plus side, the living room had a big desk for our computer but there was no electric outlet so we had to move the desk to the smaller bedroom (for which we had no need.) On the plus side, the kitchen was large with service for four and a new dishwasher, but the microwave was half size (only large enough for a demitasse plate) and it took twice as long to heat leftovers as does a normal microwave. The stove worked fine but there was no toaster or toaster oven. The master bedroom was good with a window that opened and Lucia delivered extra hangers when we asked. What we disliked most about the apartment was the bathroom which was located between the kitchen and the bedroom without a door and just a partial 4 foot wall so there was little privacy. What we liked most about the apartment was the little enclosed courtyard where the washing machine was located and where we could enjoy a drink outside.
