Pension Koglin is a family-owned hotel, that is charming and very clean. My room had plenty of room, a large bathroom and a desk that faced the street outside. The only problem was that it was located on the top floor and as there was no lift I had to heft my luggage up several flights of stairs. On the other hand, the owner took the heavier bag!
Breakfast is NOT included in the price, but for 4 euros they feed you well. I was always given a basket of several different kinds of rolls, a plate of cheese and cold cuts and sometimes a soft-boiled egg. In addition, the table was laid with generous slabs of butter and jam. On the sideboard were the different kinds of cereals. Pension Koglin does NOT offer cappuccino or other espresso drinks, but they do provide hot coffee served with a jug of warm milk. Not bad for 4 euros!
The other thing to bear in mind is that Pension Koglin is NOT located in the town center, but in a leafy suburb. There are restaurants and shops in the neighborhood, but everything is spread out necessitating a long walk. I would imagine that this might have been a better choice for those with a car, although I'm not sure how ample the parking was as there always seemed to be many cars parked along the street. (Perhaps you should inquire BEFORE booking). On the other hand there was a good bus service into town. On weekdays, there were 3 buses and hour. On Sundays and holidays, it was reduced to two.
If you want a reasonably-priced hotel in a charming family-owned accommodation, then this is the place for you!
