This is really a nice place. It's hidden in a small alley. The place is small but very personal and cosy. Love this place. Staff is helpful and very friendly, good service. The menu was surpisingly nice, enough choices. The wine selection was good as well. When our food was served, it was absolutely tasty. The wine was perfect.

We were staying nearby and discovered this small restaurant (in Neustadt, across the river) while walking back to the hotel. We had a pleasant evening, ordering schnitzel with pfifferlinge (mushrooms) and salmon with zucchini and potatoes. The wine list is mainly local, which suited us as these wines are rarely seen elsewhere. The room is very small and charming. Service was efficient and friendly. The clientele seemed to be entirely local. There is outdoor seating in a quiet courtyard. It is not a gourmet restaurant, but it is charming and authentic, and we enjoyed it. Definitely reserve.

Wandering around the newer side of Dresden we came across this cafe off a small side lane. With tables and chairs outside and an atmospheric inside it was a great place to stop for lunch. I just had soup which was very nice and friends had more substantial meals and enjoyed them. The 'new wine' was interesting to taste - sweet and a bit like soft drink but probably not. A very pleasant waitress and good stop.

Been in this "Winzerstube" twice, once in winter were you can sit inside in a very comfortable, cozy vineyard like atmosphere. Make sure you reserve a table.
Summer is wonderful too, as you'll find yourself outside in a quite backyard, surrounded by gardens and old historic buildings.
Main features:
-A fantastic choice if wines, accomplished with a passionate sommelier who knows everything about them. My favourite: "Scheurebe trocken"
-Tasteful selection of the regional cuisine.

I will be back again, for sure !
