We were a bit skeptical when we arrived at the hotel, but we were so pleasantly surprised by the service and the comfort of the guestrooms. The breakfast was perfect and the fact that the mall was connected was just a bonus! Super friendly staff, could not ask for more!!

BEST WESTERN Hotel Im Forum Muelheim
We have been staying at this hotel for business travel and connected family trips for many years. While the hotel has not been updated, it is still one of our favorites. Although it is located in the train station, the rooms are quiet and comfortable. There is a lot of space in the closets, more than the average traveler will need. The staff is really exceptional, both desk and service. We left a bag behind and returned a month later - the bag was in our room and our room was in the exact same configuration we'd requested on our prior visit. This hotel is simple but well situated and clean. Every effort is made to assist you. The breakfast is simple and generally the same (yogurt, breads, meats, cereals). Guests are offered a selection of snacks to take with them (varies) and there is a tea area with pastries during the day. We still stay at this hotel, even if we spend most of our day in the surrounding cities instead of Muelheim. The free internet is slow at times, but worked. The business computer is pretty useless, however.

I stayed at Best Western in Mulheim while on a business trip to Germany. My company took part in the Security Essen and the team (5 of us) that represented the company at the fair decided to stay in this hotel. Generally, everything was really fine. The one thing I could complain on was the breakfast. Exactly the same food for 6 days. helpful staff, nice rooms, free internet made up for the inconveniences connected with monotonous breakfast.
Hotel is conveniently located at the main train station in Mulheim a.d. Ruhr. Rooms are clean, and the staff is nice and helpful. Internet access is very slow and intermittent. VPN connections are lost constantly. Their "business center" is a 10 yr old PC with a bad Internet connection connected to a 15 yr old printer with alarm lights flashing all of the time. Their fitness center is a separate business in the same building with 8:00am-10:00pm hours during the week, so it doesn't work for business travelers either. At least they had two people on staff this time. I stayed there 2 years ago and one person filled the roll of front desk clerk, bar tender, and maintenance person. Hotel is ~50 minutes from Messe Essen by train and around that far from DUS by train. Rooms are non-smoking, but smoke will billow under your door in the evening if you have a room anywhere near the bar.
