Two colleagues and I stayed for a week here, and he had a very good impression about it. All employees were really hospitable, even housekeeping personal… the rooms have a reasonable size and bathrooms are convenient. I would only say that matrices should be a bit harder for MY personal comfort.
I didn’t have the chance to taste breakfast as we were there for businesss leaving very early but we saw the set up and looked amazing.
They have free WIFI unlike many other hotels with the same category. And also sweets, fruits an candies available at front desk, very nice touch!
If we have to go back to Dusseldorf, we'll stay there again.

Hello Franarg,

thanks for your good rating of the Auszeit Hotel Düsseldorf. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay so much and we are happy, that you appreciate our service so much. We regret that our mattress did not suit your taste. We try to hit the taste for all guests. But we are pleased that you will visit us again, despite the soft mattress. So we are looking forward to your next stay.

Very modern and well furnished and fully equipped rooms, but bed is somewhat narrow for two.. Superb breakfast with unusually broad selection. Non-air-conditioned rooms which a real drawback out of the heating season. Hotel fronts on very busy and noisy thoroughfare, so insist on room facing the back garden. Rooms are not well ventilated, so that even with windows open room fails to cool to comfortable level even in late September. Not conveniently located, and public transport, despite what management states in response to such comments, requires a considerable walk. No laptop or PC available for use to access internet and E-mail. No English language channels on room TV (at least not at night). Staff mixed -- one excellent and accommodating and other other brusque and off-putting. A good value, but would not return except during cool season and only if carrying own internet access equipment.

Room Tip: Insist on room facing the back garden. Do not accept a front room facing the very busy and noisy thoroughfare

Hello LeonardBethesda_MD,

thanks for your rating. We are sorry that you have not felt well all around. Thanks for your hint concerning the ventilation and the English language channels on room TV. We want you to feel comfortable in our hotel and to enjoy your stay - and we promise you to go into the matter to check these problems.

Previously we have made surveys and for our target group it wasn’t important to have an internet corner with PC in the lobby, because the most of our guests has own mobile phones or own laptops. More important for all was and is the free internet use - which we have realized. So is our WLAN free of charge in all rooms and in all areas around the hotel. But you are right: We will develop a solution which will give our guests without laptop or mobile phone the possibility, to check their mail accounts. So, thank you for your good hint.

We would love you to come back to our hotel.

Kind regards,
the team of the Auszeit Hotel Düsseldorf · Partner of SORAT Hotels

This was much farther out of the old town than we had thought it would be. The room was big with lots of extras. Staff were efficient, friendly and offered good advice on where to eat etc.

Dear Mourne,

thank you very much for your stay in our Auszeit and for your rating on tripadvisor. We are especially delighted about the positive rating on our staff performance. We will pass this on to the team.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy our location. We would like comment about the location of our hotel: The hotel Auszeit is centrally located in the southern city centre in Bilk. With the tram stopping on the doorstep and the suburban railway nearby, we offers excellent connections. Düsseldorf's historical centre, Königsallee boulevard and the banks of the river Rhine are all just 5 minutes away.

Once again thank you for the rating. And we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you another time in our Auszeit.

Kindest regards,
Auszeit Hotel Düsseldorf · Partner of SORAT Hotels

The hotel is good enough. I stay at a lot of hotels around Germany, and I don't understand how this one is ranked 3rd on TripAdvisor in Dusseldorf. True, there aren't loads of reasonably priced places in the city center, but I wouldn't agree that this one is third best. One thing I would say negative is that my bedding had clearly not been changed for a while. Not the base sheet, but the pillowcases and quilt cover. The breakfast was good and the staff are friendly enough. It is pretty remote, but you can walk to the S-Bahn 701 or get a taxi to the city center. If you like nature and walking, the Volksgarten is nearby and a good place to go for your morning run. Wifi is spotty in some of the rooms (or parts of your room), so maybe don't rely on being fully connected the whole stay. I would recommend the place if it's a budget choice.

Room Tip: 403 is apparently one of the biggest/best rooms.

Dear jetsetjace, thank you for your detailed appraisal. We are very sorry to hear, that you were not satisfied with the global service of us. We will evaluate this with all staff - to make your next stay with us more comfortable. And we are sorry, we did have a technical problem during your stay in some of the rooms with our complimentary WIFI service. This has been fixed. Once again thank you for the comments. We hope to see you again.

A strange location, about 10 minutes from the volkspark s-bahn station ( 1 stop to main rail station ), but not so convenient for the old town, as you either walk beyond sbahn to kruppstrasse tram stop, or from outside the door you can go direct the long way round ( c. 30 mins), or change at karolinga platz. nothing much in the immediate area apart from the chance to walk round a nice park, or use the onsite sauna or small gym.
The hotel gives the impression of being a conversion from apartments or offices, and does not have any real atmosphere. Having said that the rooms and fittings are of good quality and trendy design, maintaining the burgundy and grey theme down to the towels. lots of extras also in the bathroom amenity kit.
big flat screen tv, but only german-language channels.
service was unfailingly cheerful and helpful, once reception switched me to the quieter park-view i had requested in my online reservation. ( don't understand why they did not allocate correctly in the first place..)
the breakfast is expensive at 15 euros, but is truly outstanding. with the hotdeal room rate we paid, adding on the breakfast still came to a reasonable 52 euros for the whole lot. treat yourself one day - you will certainly be able to skip lunch !
knowing my way around the tram system a bit better now, i would not hesitate to book again if i could get a parkside room at a good rate.
