Great service

Review of Fischerhaus
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 Apr 2019via mobile
Located in a quite place yet again not far to my business venue. Room was cosy, a bit on the smallish side and not a lot of bright light in the bedroom however both the bathroom & bedroom were spotless. The service was brilliant. Even though they don't serve dinner they ordered delivery food which was delicious and got a glass of wine in the room. The breakfast was great and again the staff was marvelous. I even got gluten free bread. Only place in Duesseldorf where I had good GF options during my very short business trip. I would not hesitate to book the same hotel!

Hotel looks lovely from the hotel. Taken to my room which was outside via a courtyard. Room was small but clean. No tea/coffee making facilities and only free wifi for one device - so had to decide whether this should be phone or laptop.
Went down for dinner to be informed that restaurant it's shut on Sunday and Monday nights - although I could walk to the Italian restaurant 5 mins away. As a lone female traveller, this was not really an option as it was pitch black outside. No offer to provide me with a sandwich or soup. I asked for a cup of tea and they only had Earl Grey.
As you can imagine, no dinner and one cup of Earl Grey - I wasn't happy.
Room was not overly hot, but the quilt was very thin and felt like a single quilt on a double bed.
Breakfast was OK, but still no English Breakfast Tea, so settled with another Earl Grey. - Happy to leave and will not be back again if travelling on my own.

The Fischerhaus was a nice and pleasant little hotel and it was nice to be somewhere different. The rooms were clean and the service was good. The breakfast was what you would expect and all in all, a wonderful little hotel. I would probably consider this hotel again as it's decently priced and in a good location but it depends on what you're after.

The only negative that I would have is that there was no kettle in the room and I'm so used to having hot water in the mornings or in the evenings.

Clean, small double room, white bathroom with a shower cabin, friendly and client oriented reception staff. If staying alone, it will be really lonely unless you value quietness and modesty. We liked a big bed.

stayed here on a business trip. very nice little hotel in a quiet residential area, nice walks around, inexpensive. everything was nice and clean. I only regretted the lack of an arm chair in the room to relax but there was a small desk to sit at if needed. there is a very nice bar downstairs but the place was quiet as the restaurant which was well-known by some of my colleagues travelling with me was closed on that day. I presume one of the main reasons people stay at the hotel is to enjoy the restaurant and not have the stress of returning home after a good dinner.

Friendly staff, very good service. Internet costs a nominal fee, it's not much but on principle I think the internet should be free... very good breakfast spread as well.

Overall, I don't think you can beat this hotel in terms of value for money.

This is a lovely hotel set back just from the Rhine, although most of my time I was out working, when I returned to the hotel in the evening the staff were always very helpful and made sure everything was ok for you. The breakfast was superb and if you want to dine there I can also recommend this.

The only down side was the Wifi, this worked very intermittently and was only available in the rooms,
