Owner description: This giant Gothic cathedral, which until its completion in 1880 had been under construction for over 500 years, is perhaps Germany's most famous religious structure and includes two huge towers that serve as the defining symbol of Cologne's skyline.

“Take a camera”

Truly astounding and breathtaking. You can feel the history of the place. Although there were clearly thousands of tourists it still seemed spacious.

“A sight worth your visit when in Cologne”
Reviewed 2 May 2012

The Cologne Cathedral is extremely high. It is such a sight and does make one wonder how such a thing was build in those days. It is located a few steps from Cologne Central Station, and a walking distance from the shopping street (Hohestrasse).

“its huge”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

Its got it's special feeling- when you are inside you are just really tiny part of all of this. Vitrages are something really great, compiled from small and very detailed pieces of painted glass, fascinate you and stuned you

“Beautiful Gothic Exterior.”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

The view from outside coming from any direction is simply amazing and imposing. The interior was nice, however in comparison to the exterior, it was a bit lack luster. Still a must see if you ever visit Cologne.

“Amazing details and great crowds too”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

I also visited the city using the train, and the this breathtaking church was welcoming as soon as I left the station. The details are amazing. You can take pictures from different angle and still looked amazing. Inside there was a sermon and the religious atmosphere was nice.
On the outside the crowds of young peoples in groups with matching t-shirts and couple are scattered around the area. Most were equipped with a bottle of beer but they were sober. Interesting action such as mime, break dance, roller blade and trial bikes add the relaxing aura to this beautiful buildings.
