Location - ferry / working harbour so not pretty to look at.
Hotel - fantastic room, large, clean, modern furnishings and bathroom, loved the shower. We controlled the heating in the room too ( can be cold in Scotland any time of year !! ).
Bed was very comfortable. Pity we only stayed one night.
Pub- normal kind of place which also served bar meals - burgers etc we only had a quick drink in here before our meal in the restaurant next door.
Restaurant - lovely - we were given a window table, food was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Staff - friendly and helpful
Overall great place to stay, reasonably priced and would stay again without hesitation.

Room Tip: We had room 1 on the front of the hotel

Stayed for a few nights for a wedding. The Ferry Inn had lovely staff, all really friendly and welcoming. I had a tiniest single room but it was very comfortable and did what it needed. The food was brilliant, the breakfasts were just the ticket the morning after a wedding reception. The dinners too were great, I had sea bass cooked perfectly. Would stay here again!

Like many others, we were looking for a place to spend the night prior to catching the ferry to the Orkneys. The Ferry Inn was inexpensive and to be honest we were not expecting much as it was one of our least expensive accommodations on our 2 week trip. It is located on the main drag, just a minute's drive from the ferry entrance. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the view of the harbour. There was lots of free parking across the street. We ate in the bar and the meal was quite nice. We even got to see a hen night "blackening" outside as we were having a drink in the bar. Crazy! Overall we truly enjoyed our stay at the Ferry Inn and would definitely stay again.
