A great dinosaur museum lots to see in several giant rooms , a very extensive collection of dinosaurs on display ..at least two members of the five main dinosaur groups are on display.. Very popular with kids and family ..

This museum is shockingly large and diverse. There is a wide range of exhibits, with many explained in German and English. I would recommend this museum to anyone.

Sunday morning 10 a.m. - it started already busy with lots of families, huge strollers and militant moms. When we left 2 hours later there was poor anarchy at the front gate. The funny thing to me was that this had little of interest for small children except from some bones and dead animal bodies but the real show was far too scientific even for the parents.
The exhibition unfortunately was very unstructured and not really following a logical sequence or concept. The way of presenting must have been redesigned in the 80´s or so last time.
For me this is not a recommendation unless it rains cats and dogs and you dont know what else to do.

We visited the museum on a Sunday morning. Very reasonable entrance fee and there is a museum guide in English. The exhibits are amazing, animals, models of dinosaur bones, dioramas, and a room of preserved specimens. There are quite a few hands on activities for children, some of these are also in English. There is a bistro at the museum, but we didn't go in. The museum has good facilities- cloakroom, lockers, toilets, baby change etc. A superb place to visit, something for everyone,
