“Convenient for a lay-over”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2012

Convenient location, close to the train station and frequent trains to the airport. Very nice décor, comfortable bed. The rooms are a bit small, but sufficient when two people are staying for one night.

There's free wifi but the Internet connection was very unreliable, and I got the impression it was not only a temporary situation. If you need a hotel with Internet, I would not choose this hotel.

Have just spent five days at this hotel, which is based just over the road from the train Station. I had a twin room,(good value at internet rate) which had excellent facilities, air con, mood lighting, plenty of room for two people,Tea,Coffee, towels changed when you want them, shower very good.Maid service good, rooms and hotel very clean. All staff very helpful, chatty and that was at all hours.I did'nt eat beakfast so cannot comment.Car Parking 15 euros a day. There was nothing to complain about this hotel. If you need this as a base, one night stop over or just business then I recommend this Hotel. It is also close to Zeil, Frankfurts shopping plaza (very good) Lots of places to eat at various prices.River trip on Main is also cheap and well worth doing. Dont miss the old town centre of the City and a trip up Main Tower, which we did at night.

Places to visit just outside Frankfurt.....Taunus Hills, Castle at Konigstein, further dont miss Heidelburg and Rudesheim.

Have to mention that there seems to be a bit of confusion about the Red Light District (yes there is one two blocks away) and they do not seem to bother tourists etc. There is however drug addicts and alcoholics nearby and you can if you do not know the area stumble on drunks and addicts openly using. You can feel uneasy and itimidated if you are alone.

Good location just a few minutes walk from main railway station. Hotel and room very clean and comfortable. Parking at time of our visit was €15 oer night and is in a nearby car park where the hotel has a few spaces (limited availability - so probably best to check in advance).
We have to mention in particular one receptionist Ilaria, who really has excellent customer care skills and went out of her way to make our visit pleasant (including letting us watch the F1 Grand prix in the hotel bar, changing our room when we had problems connecting to the wifi and giving us good advice about places to go), I have to say that much of our overall impression of the hotel came down to her helpfulness)
The only downsides of our visit was that the Free Internet connection was not very reliable and that the temp of the shower could fluctuate sometimes while you were using it, but I would definitely recommend this hotel and also use it again

I have stayed numerous times at this hotel and I still enjoy staying here when I’m in Frankfurt. Here is why I love this hotel: (a) great, friendly, helpful staff; (b) always spotless; (c) only 100 meters to main train station and convenient access to S-bahn into city center or to airport; (d) free internet; (d) quiet; (e) fun, quirky place to stay, with 80’s music in the lobby, collection of antique tea pots and typewriters everywhere and historic newspapers on the wall. Some tips on picking a room: they have a total of 8 different rooms. Rooms ending in 8 (i.e. 28 or 38) are small singles and are the cheapest option. These rooms are small, but good enough for one night. Rooms ending in 1, 2, 7 or 9 are standard singles. Rooms ending in 4 or 5 are double rooms, but the 5-series rooms can also be used as a triple if needed. Rooms ending in 6 are junior suites, which are really extra spacious doubles. Although the small, but decent breakfast buffet is no longer included in the room price (Euro 12.00 extra), it’s still a really nice and convenient place to stay in Frankfurt.

I stayed here for three nights to use as a base to go to the German Grand Prix. It was a great choice, as it was very easy to get to from the Hauptbahnhof, but just that little bit further away from the Red Light District. The immediate area felt safe and was pretty quiet for the most part, and there was a small supermarket across the road too.

The room was quite small but more than enough as I was traveling alone - it was pretty clean and the mini-bar was well stocked. The rooms were pretty quiet, although it was quite interesting to see that the TV was old school (i.e. not flat screen). There was some interesting mood lighting options available as well.

The staff were very nice - I called ahead to let them know I'd be quite late arriving as my plane was diverted to Frankfurt Hahn (about 90 mins away by bus), and was told it was no problem at all. They were also quite helpful with directions / airport train info / where to eat etc.

The only disappointment was that the WiFi connection was intermittent on my iPad - it would work for 5 minutes and then not for 30.

If you're looking for a value for money hotel near the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (but a bit further away from the Red Light District) then I'd recommend having a look at the Hotel Concorde.
