This hotel is very tall - 26 floors - with efficient and fast lifts (one suitable for wheelchairs). Unfortunately though, at present, and I would think for the next two years, it is part of a building site - as a huge conference centre is being built next to it. In addition it is next to the national railway line system which has a few trains an hour, but right next door. The benefit of that is that you have the cafes of a train station - and a German book seller - but no shop to sell general things, or a bar. The other side of the railway track is a very busy road system. Just over a walking bridge from the hotel and DammTor train station is a local park with pretty Japanese garden and hot houses and the local underground. 15 minute walk to down town,
The hotel is comfortable and clean and new. Long stairs outside to haul luggage up.... small side door open followed by 10 stairs DOWN then escalator UP to reception. Helpful porter with trolley to room. No area outside to sit and enjoy the weather.... The bar area is small, with a very large sports TV - and pricey drinks and snacks. The restaurant is expensive to my taste.
Breakfast is extra - with a wide choice of fruits/pastries/hot cooked/breads/cheese/meats/yoghurts etc..
Taxis outside the Station.
