“Dinosaur Exhibit Appealing but museum seemed very dated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2012

The free audio tour added details to the variety of exhibits. The exhibit on dinosaurs was FIRST CLASS and appealing as you walked into the main area. My children liked the displays of animals downstairs which included hippos, cattle, cats, birds, bears and other mammals. Many of the taxidermy of animals was done 50 years ago and there are a few animals faces that have seen better days and are getting distorted such as the cat exhibit. The room with insects specimans were creepy and they still had fish in containers that were from 50 plus years ago. With the German visitors city pass, this museum was very affordable. I left the museum feeling that it was a bit dated. I was expecting that it would look like a World Class Museum with many more animals and their descriptions. It seemed a bit small and not as comprehensive as I thought it would be (could be due to limited space). My husband and I got bored with the audio guide tour.

“Dino Dan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2012

The humongous Brachiosaurus offers you a warm welcome as you enter the museum. Nice collection of exhibits and great museum store. My daughter loves the place. The museum is in 5 minute walking distance from Berlin's new main train terminal.

“The Dinosaur collection is worth the visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 December 2011

The big old hall with the huge dinosaur skeletons makes this place worth the visit. Also the room with preserved fishes in old bottles is impressive. The rest of the museum is not so interessting compared to other natural history museums.
