“Great hotel choice for more than 2 people”
Reviewed 3 May 2012

We were incredibly happy with our stay here. We were 3 friends, in our 30's, traveling together. The apartment like set up was a great way to have enough space for 3 of us. The bedroom was a decent size, with a queen size bed for 2 of us. From the website, we were unsure how they would accommodate the 3rd person we paid extra for. But when we got to our room, a twin bed had already been made up in the living room. There was a couch, two tvs, a large kitchen area (with pretty much everything you would need to prep any meal) decent size closet in bedroom, and a spacious bathroom. Everything was incredibly modern, clean, updated, and well designed.

The best part- the brand new washer/dryers in the bathroom. Full size. We were able to do a couple loads of laundry for no extra cost, except the .95 euro for the soap the hotel sold!

The only downfall was the location. While it was in a good overall area- near Checkpoint Charlie and Friedrichstrasse (huge area of shops, restaurants, etc.) you had to walk at least 10 minutes to really get to any place worth being. It's a bit off the beaten path, but a few extra minutes each day walking was fine in comparison to the great price & amenities of the hotel.

We visited the Adina hotel for the 2nd time in April 2012. The last visit being April 2009. It was just as good as we remember. The hotel rooms include a bedroom, lounge, dining area and kitchen and are light and spacious. The staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel is centrally located in the old East Germany close to several U-bahn stops. It is also easy to walk to many of the Berlin attractions. At GBP 70 a nigh excluding breakfast, it was great value for money too. We used the local Lidl supermarket each day for fresh oranage juice and croissant for breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the courtyard are quiet but rooms on the road have a balcony... take your pick rea...

This is an amazing concept for a hotel: A four star hotel that also has self catering facilities in your room. As we were on holiday in Berlin we ate out quite a lot but not having to search for somewhere to have breakfast every day was a god send. And the hotel itself is lovely, with friendly and efficient staff and a pool, gym and hot tub. If I had realised earlier on in the holiday how few guests were taking advantage of these last three facilities I would have made greater use. As it was they were a great way to start the day or finish up after a hard day pounding the streets of Berlin. I am certainly going to stay at this chain's other hotel by Hauptbahnhof next time I am in the city.

Good rooms (very quiet too), great breakfast (although expensive if its not included in your deal), good location, safe area, friendly and helpful staff. The only gripe I can give is that the cleaner was a bit forgetful and some mornings didn't leave small towels, just the big ones, and didn't refill the shower gel dispenser once it emptied, but as we had our own shower gel it wasn't a massive problem and we could get by on the large towels.
You're not far from a couple of U-Bahn stations and, not that we would have known ourselves but when we asked the receptionist about the best way to get to the culture forum, she suggested the 48 bus (i think that was the number), which we could catch from Leipziger Str, just a few metres from the hotel.
You're a 5 minute walk from Gendarmenmarkt Square, with all its restaurants, although some of these are quite expensive, so if on a budget you might want to find somewhere away from the square to eat.
You can also walk to Unter den Linden and Museum Island in around 10-15 minutes.

This hotel is lovely and is perfect when you have children esp if you would like extra rooms for them to sleep in.

Do be aware though that if you are driving and wish to park around the hotel it costs 15euro for 1 day.

I have no bad words to say about the hotel - just stay there. Stay are lovely and the hotel is ver modern and chic.

We stayed for easter and every room recieved a bag of easter eggs - nice touch :)
