We arrived on a Saturday lunch time. 18 of us including 14 ravenous teenagers having travelled from Glasgow the week before. We had book about three weeks in advance but Pete was not expecting us. Seems there had been a wee communication break down. A quick phone call and Matt soon arrived on the scene and in no time at all the 18 of us were fed and watered. ....The pies were delicious the pastry just and it should be and plenty of filling. I had the beef and mushroom pie , the beef was tender and just melted in yiur mouth. The mash was smooth and creamy and the veg cooked to perfection. Others in the group had the cajun chicken pie or the breakfast pie that also contains an egg ...let's just say 18 empty plates enter to the dishwasher I liked the stencilled ceiling in the front room we were also in the back room which could be cozy at night lit by t lights or other candles. The white emulsioned walls could do with a wee freshen up , but we were there for the food not the decor and we were certainly not disappointed. Good food at drink and a good price.
