We stayed here for 2 nights in April and found it to be comfortable, quiet and good value. I booked it last minute online and got a very good deal. We asked for a quiet room and it was that and more. Beds were excellent. Great shower, but even better, the tub- perfect as I was really sick while we were there. The front staff was very helpful in directing us to a chemist and a place to get soup. This place is not deluxe, but good location near the train station, as well as major sights and excellent shopping/restaurants. Very helpful staff and comfortable rooms.

Room Tip: Away from lifts

This hotel was perfect for us. Very good location, very close to public transport, so easy connection to sights and main train station. The rooms were large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Didn't eat at the restaurant or try the fitness facilities, so can't comment on these.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Melia in April 2012. We were two adults and a 14 year old in a standard room, which was very roomy, comfortable and clean. The bathroom is spacious, with a grand shower.
The hotel is at the best location in Berlin for sightseeing - opposite the Friedrichstrasse train station. We hardly had to use taxis or trains - just walked.
Breakfast is included with the room and is superb. The gym is small.
The only shortcoming with the hotel is the expensive wifi - 15 euros a day. See other reviews about upgrading to Level to overcome this.
Overall - a great hotel at a fantastic location. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and come here again.

We found the offer on the Internet! a spanish Hotel co
A very urban hotel, tooked a junior suite in eighth Floor. The view over the Spree was really nice from the balcony, to somebody who know to appreciate the romance of a big city ( like we do).
The suite: two rooms, each with one television. mini-bar, etc.; a Spanish colonial style but very modern. Very well-kept furniture and a large bathroom, and as is typical in Spain with a separate toilet and bidet. A small nespresso is provided. However, the required capsules are not freely available. So bring along! Slippers and dressing gown to emphasize the four star standard. Anyone who wants can also iron, an iron is integrated in the room.( we did not)
The rooms are medium-sized, but it can certainly stand there for a few days.
A lounge access with breakfast (sufficient selection of hot and cold dishes, including access to the breakfast and tea time as well as an appetizer) were included. Also there was a smoking lounge available. And was located on the 7th floor.
the tapas bar, connectedt to the hotel, was represented with a large assortment. Nice dedicated staff made the stay very pleasant. Good wines, delicious Tapas.....
So for us a really round time we stay quite happy to recommend.
Unfortunately we had only two nights in this pleasant hotel had, so we can not recommend about other virtues of the hotel .

Room Tip: we were in the 8 Floor, suite with balcony. we were very pleasant

The Melia has all the extras of a new hotel. We upgraded to the Level because reviewers said that internet charges were expensive otherwise. We're glad we made that decision. The Level has free drinks throughout the day, a lovely breakfast each morning, and tapas in the evenings. Some evenings, the snacks are better than others, but the water, coffees, mixed drinks, and fruits were wonderful. Our room had a heated bathroom floor, slippers and robes, a very comfortable bed, and lots of closet space. Noise was not a problem. We did have a problem with the a/c and heating system; our room was very warm all four nights. We complained to the front desk several times, and their engineer finally came up and said we had a problem. At the end, they gave us a fair discount on our bill for our discomfort. We did not have to get a transportation pass because we could walk to all the major museums and attractions, such as museum island, Brandenburg Gate, the Bundestag, the German History Museum, the DDR Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, and boatrides. The Hauptbanhof is only a 5-minute taxi ride away, and there is a metro station one block away. We could see the Rive Spree from our room. Berlin businesses close down on Sundays, except for museums. I loved our stay there and would recommend this hotel to everyone. They even provide wash cloths which is a rarity in Germany.

Room Tip: Choose the Level if you can afford it.
